you probably are one of the dumbest thread starters i have ever seen. another reason why ESB should make a minimum of 3000 posts before you can start 1.
    1) Valeuv is not a beast...he only looks like one.
    2) Holyfield stood toe to toe as you say and he is almost 50.
    3) "almost knocked him clean out" moron....he stunned him...its boxing, he was so surprised when he did it, he backed off and was scared to finish....
    4) if he is so powerful...why is he hurting his back and now his hand?
    5) for every hater there is a nut sucker like you who makes up absurd ****

haye "would have" Kod him had he not "hurt" his hand
haye would have "kod wlad" had he not pulled out the fight

tyson "would have" kod buster douglas in 1 round had he trained, not been mind ****ed from his ex and not ****ed 27 japeneese women when he should have been doing roadwork....or hadnt fired kevin rooney

i cant believe i wasted all this time typing to an idiot

My god, some of the posts in this thread are ****ing atrocious.

People calling the guy a disgrace cause he didnt knock him out? amazing how people instantly seem to forget Haye was giving away a foot of height and 100lbs of weight in this fight.

Loads of people were going on about how Haye would fade in the second half of the fight and his chin would let him down; neither of which happened.

Many people said Haye is too sloppy and amateurish and cant stick to or carry out a gameplan - which he did amazingly last night.

Why do people have to be so ****ing scathing? you're all know-it-alls on your computer but it was David in that ring last night, not you.

You dont have to like the guy and you dont have to like the fight but give the man some respect.

If he indeed broke his hand, either he did it before the fight or it didn't affect him, since he fought exactly the same the entire fight.

While I don't think it was a bad decision, he was pretty lucky to come away with a victory with that performance. 116-112 Valuev would have been a perfectly legitimate score as well. Pretty much every round, Valuev dominated 90% of the round, and Haye threw one or two flurries, most of which got blocked. Yes, Haye landed the better punches, but Valuev threw far more punches and forced Haye into fighting his fight.

In the 12th round, he has the opportunity for a KO. He's on foreign soil. He's only convincingly won a few rounds. He's a couple of solid shots away from knocking out his opponent, and what does he do? Take his foot off the gas and go back to a safety first style. Bad decision, IMO, but fortunately he got the nod anyway. I suspect the fact that he brought his crowd with him helped some. The Haye cheering section went nuts whenever he did anything, whether he landed a punch or not. That kind of thing often helps sway the judges.

I think it's completely fair to make a point that he's over 7 foot and weighs so much. Especially seeing as the BIG thing about this fight was that David had question marks over his stamina and his chin, and that they would be his downfall.

However you look at it, he went to his opponents backyard, taking on a SEVEN FOOT TALL guy in only his second proper fight at heavyweight (second!) and in teh 12th staggered him (with a left hook, when David is actually notably less powerful and effective with this arm).

I don't expect you or anyone to go ape**** and love the guy, just take an objective look at what he did last night; he boxed a brilliant fight, some people hated it, some people enjoyed it. That's all.

edit: I think the Holyfield comparison is unfair, you jsut made a comment about weight not being a credential, then go on to make a point that Haye and Holyfield are the same weight. Can't have it both ways.

And if you want to get technical Holyfield really should have DREW that fight to be fair, but in comparison Davids age and speed obviously helped him as I, and many others, can make a reather clear arguement he won the fight. On top of that, Haye's round 12 was more effective than Holyfield was in the last 4 rounds of his fight.

    lol @ Haye.

Serious good fight - but I still don't think he belongs to the heavyweights.

Also his ***** tactics... wtf was the delay before the fight? He prolonged his coming to fight by 30 minutes hoping that it would make Valuev nervous. Sure as hell ****ed us viewers. I can't understand how one could be a fan of him.

How did it '****' you? in what way did an extra 30 mins vastly and drastically affect your life? Seriosuly, what did that delay change about your existance?

Can't understand how someone would be a fan? jesus ****ing christ, you can't get why people would like him cause he made you wait for 30 whole minutes?

He actually waited 30 minute longer to get more PPV sales, otherwise he'd be competeting with the most popular programs in the UK, so it kind of makes sense ..

you just made my argument....Holyfield and Haye both fought a 315 pound slow shitty champion
difference being, Haye is 28 and is in his prime.....
Holyfield is almost 47 years old and is shot beyond belief
and they were boring horrible fights and both looked shitty....but holyfield is supposed to at 46 years old....

****in' hell, there is a lot of people on here who aren't happy about Haye winning. I think they're just pissed off their hero Klits might actually be in a fight for the first time in a while.

Mate, maybe u dont know this but valuev is 7'2" and weights almost 23stone. That is what made david backpedal and use speed instead of brute force. H has never done that in any other fight - thats my point but ur too stupid to understand that.

Let me help u here cos i feel sorry for u. Ok pay attention u silly ****. If he had stood toe to toe and got KO'd u would have been on here saying how **** he is so its clear to see that no matter what he does people like you are too thick and ignorant to give any credit. Name me one fighter who could stand toe to toe with big nick and trade? There anrt any. So shut up, **** off and learn a bit about boxing before u come on here with your bull**** cos its embarrassing.
