Can we delete all other posts in this thread and just close it with this as the only post?

what would the financial implications be if haye ditched the belt, thus removing himself from mandatorys etc and could then, at their whim obviously, fight a klit bro at any time...if he is so sure he can beat them, does the belt he hold REALLY matter..would the fact the prospective fights would be unification fights matter as much financially as the fact they would be to decide who was best

Well the Klits have previously expressed an interest in holding all the belts between the brothers, so I think the fact that Haye has the belt definitely makes him a more attractive fight.

Also, regardless of whether they would like the belt or not and judging by how previous negotiations have gone - I would imagine that Haye not holding a belt would definitely be used to try and haggle over some more money etc

If Haye ditched the belt he would become a voluntary and get the standard K2 voluntary contract of 3 fights against the brothers, all in Germany, for £500k per fight.... bit of a difference to what he can negotiate in a unification bout

    If:

    1) Haye was sure he could beat them; or
    2) Haye wanted to fight them as much as he said

The fights would have happened a long time ago. Let's be real, if beating the Klit's was 100% certain he would have done so, unified, and have since been making undreamed of amounts of money. Who wouldn't? That's a no-brainer.

However, Haye would have to be delusional to be "sure" he can beat them. He may think he has a decent chance, he may not.

Also, everyone else would have to be delusional to think that Haye wants to fight them as much as he has said.
When you make such an effort to state your intentions...you are either a pitbull, locked on to your target - and impossible to force to let go short of being killed. Or you are pretending.
One of those two scenarios involves fighting Valuev, Ruiz and Audley, and bitching about getting equal money, all the while spending the last years of your career somehow missing out on your supposed obsession.

Dream World possibility I know, but if they really really wanted to fight, PPV could have been scratched. Hell, then more people could watch the fight and garner more attention to the sport. Again, DREAM WORLD, I know.
