    Some of your points are fair. But I think you are being to soft on them. Its to easy for promoters to say "you don't understand how the business works" as an excuse for a fight.

    If Groves and Booth really wanted the fight, they could of made the deal. Frank made it difficult but he gave them a chance and they didn't take it. What they have shown is that they want DeGale for the payday and nothing else. Haye was the same....he wanted the Klitsckos but he wants to get paid.

    Its fair enough, but are we still going to hear Haye and Groves talking trash about the Klitsckos and DeGale.

    If Groves wants to makes more shitty videos hopefully he points out he wants to fight James DeGale on the condition its on his promoters show.

    I do not remember DeGale calling out Groves either. Notice in his interview after Dilks he said he would fight and beat any domestic fighter. It was Warren that brought up Groves. DeGale only mentions Groves if he is asked about him.

    don't know why u guys are having a go at rob - his perspective is always that of someone who just wants boxing to be idealistic - which is what we all want it to be.
    unfortunately its not though, whereas most people just get a little disappointed and think about something else, rob obviously takes it a little bit more to heart. nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

    Things would change if everyone whinged obsessively on an Internet forum with 100 (200? 300?) regular contributors??

    (Don't think that most people on here don't see what this latest hissy fit of yours is closely related to David Haye not turning out to be your knight in shining armour)

    Excellent points by Warren ... Im a big Haye and Groves fan but all this **** talking needs to stop .... either fight or stop piggy backing on other names ! ....sorry David time to put up or shut up ......

    Hang on, Rob – if people acted like me in this situation more, these fights would happen cause I won’t pay for something I don’t want to see. I wouldn’t even have mentioned this “controversy” or be talking about it if you hadn’t started this thread.

    And sadly, on a forum about boxing, you’re simply preaching to the converted. We’d all like these fights to get made. But this isn’t the ATP where the best face the best on tour, receive good money for playing small tournaments and great money for sponsorship. It’s boxing where there’s little money for even guys in the medium level of the sport.

    They will always look at what’s best for them in the long term. It makes sense to hold this fight off till both have more profile. Degale’s no star – there’s been no major interest in his progress. Groves isn’t a star either. But in a couple of years, a fight between the two could make them stars.

    You think I don’t see the way the world works, but I’m not the one crying my eyes out over something I can’t influence.

    All fair point but I disagree about DeGale not being a star. He is in the top 5 most high profile fighters in the country.

    The day after the magnificent 7 my I spoke to my dad on the phone and he said "DeGale fought last night didn't he?"

    btw...just out of interest, if hayemaker accepted the offer and put groves on the Warren show in December, what would happen to Hayemakers 30th October Sky date (considering they don't have any other fighters)? Would the cancellation cost them financially and affect their chances of negotiating future tv deals?
