GBP couldn't even promote Calzaghe - Hopkins.

Hatton will fail, Haye will fail.

Haye should already be a huge name, but has only ever fought on Sky and Setanta. He has a mouth, but probably lacks the business brain. He is an incredibly marketable fighter, but hasn't got any where yet.

About time Frank Warren had some serious competition. Golden Boyhas anout clout in boxing to overtake SportNetworks UK dominance altogether

This isn't serious competition for frank.

Warren is a business genius, GBP are incompetent and will fail in the UK with only two big name fighters to work with.

Letting one of his big name fighters get starched in 2 certainly didn't have the hallmarks of a "business genius".

Two of the biggest names, but two big names that have promotional companies them selves, everybody Hatton (who has SKy in the bag)and Haye (who has Setanta) sign, in advertantly will work with Golden Boy (HBO) at some point. This is serious compeitition for Warren who only really has Joe and Amir Khan to sell over 15,000 seats a fight and Joe is in his last year!

Trust me Frank Warren is scared shitless about Hatton and haye signing with GBP!

Warrens first ever World title fight he ever promoted was a WBA/IBF Welterweight Fight in 1985

Don Curry V Colin Jones (in my aviator picture)

Over the years Warren has promoted the likes of Bruno and Benn in WBC fights and WBA & IBF

But he has a special relationship with the WBO and WBU and puts them fights on like every weekend type of thing

He makes average British / European class fighters have World Championship status with these belts which is misleading

Even Calzaghe and Naz were molycoddled into making loads of WBO defences and tey were really world class

Still a credible opponent for Lockett and the WBO's as good as the IBF which strangely except for Japan Is considered a real title.

Calzghe still got his titles In the end and wasn't mouthy until he proved himself In the ring. Alot of dudes ducked the supernatural known as Calzaghe too.

Warren has twice outbidded Golden Boy when Harrison and Arthur nearly fought Marquez and Guzman.

Warren can easily compete with Golden Boy.

The fights with Golden boy have only happened because they want stuff on their own terms or when both fighters are signed together.

    Haye laughs off Skelton offer!

    Sunday, June 1 2008

Cruiserweight/heavyweight sensation David 'The Hayemaker' Haye (21-1, 20 KOs) has reacted with to promoter Frank Warren's $1.2 million offer to face Matt Skelton. "The timing of the offer was priceless," said Haye, the former WBC/WBA/WBO unified cruiserweight champion. "As Hayemaker Promotions are announcing their ethos and plans to break trends in boxing - to put on exciting, competitive and meaningful contests – Frank Warren's Sports Network offer me a fight with a washed-up 40-year-old coming off a defeat with nowhere else to go. I'm sure I'm not the only one who saw the irony in that. That aside, the offer was a derisory one anyway. We thank him for the offer, but I now know what I'm worth and can guarantee I'll make at least double Warren's figure in my next fight." Haye's next outing will take place at London's 20,000-capacity O2 Arena towards the end of the year. "It will be an exciting fight against a dangerous, top 10-ranked heavyweight," Haye promised. "Taking that into account, if you've seen Matt Skelton fight, you'll know it won't be him."

yes Warren likes to play silly games and drag people down - Haye has never signed for Warren as a fighter refuses to and only let Warren promote him for one fight where he destroyed a sports network WBO Champion inside 2 rounds. and that fight was stalled because before when they tried to make the fight Warren wanted future options on Hayes fight if he wan

so as someone put it before what warren wanted was this:

If your fighter beats my fighter your fighter becomes my fighter

    warren is a ****

now he trying to drag down haye in his british merry go round

That part was rather funny. Haye sure is not shy about saying what he thinks of a fighter, is he?
