I think both companies will be a success, but to be writing the obituary for Sports Network is rather premature.

Warren, as everybody knows, has a cracking business brain (certainly better than those of De La Hoya, Hatton and Haye) and will be able to attract fighters who are perhaps best described as fringe contenders, and get them alphabet straps and make both of them decent money, and in return they will remain loyal to him.

This is the area where the other firms would need to crack, but you would have no chance unless you signed them very early in their careers.

Golden Boy appear a very professional outfit and have a number of big names - with a more of a business relationship with it's fighters than Sports Network, who are very much master and servant. In the UK, unless your name is Ricky Hatton or David Haye (could add Calzaghe and Khan also) then you are not a marquee name and need a guiding hand that someone like Frank Warren can provide.

Basically, unless you are big and can broker your own TV deals, as Hatton has done with Sky/HBO and recently Haye, then you are better of with Warren - this may be rather cynical, but there you have it.

David Haye (obviously), Ryan Rhodes, George Groves, Michael Maguire, Josh Wale and Leon Williams are all signed to Hayemaker Promotions, haven't heard of any others.

It seems Hayemaker Promotions' debut will be on October 18 in the O2 Arena in London. That will be Haye's return to the ring, possibly vs. the Toney-Rahman rematch winner.

Truth.. Oscar served his time and became a time served great champion and made sure he was multi liquid as a comodity until he embarked on becoming a proper promo agency.. Haye has been a beltholder for 5 minutes and has jsut embarked on being a wannabee heavy, and already he is trying to be a part time promoter.. Do the boxing first , then when you have some proper experience try and break into the promo market to be taken seriously...

Warren and Oscar established themselves over 30 years and 12 years respectively to be as solid as they are today.. Haye has been champ for a milli second and hasn't faced a real solid heavyweight yet...

Please , i smell desparate cheap second rate version of all the rest, God bless him..
