Thoroughly enjoyed the fight but it was a testament to John's durability Haye was beating up on him with not a great amount coming back

The most exciting heavyweight champion and he is ours!!!!

Spot on performance, he was slightly off balance when he loaded up but booth pulled him up on it - best relationship in boxing right there!!!

Haye is the ****ing man, finally someone putting life into the HW division.

The guy has bombs for fists but credit for Ruiz because even though he was down 4 times, he showed a great chin cos he was hit by many a shot which would have put lots of heavyweights to sleep tonight.

    Good stoppage also.

Haye is a far better boxer than most give him credit for. Most seem to concentrate on his bombs, but the boy can box.

I can't think of too many HW's who would relish the thought of taking him on.
There are areas to improve on, especially with his defence, but he is answering all of the questions posed so far.

I thought both he and Adam Booth were refreshingly honest in their interviews. It's not often that you get boxers and trainers being so openly critical of their performances.

If he went in with that defense against either Klitschko I think he would get stopped in 4, he was far too sloppy when inside but its a minor quip ...Loved his offense tonight, picked his shots amazingly well and countered beautifully. Dont think there can be any doubt about Hayes power at HW now :good and big big respect to John Ruiz, he took an insane amount of punishment and made it a GOOD FIGHT!!

Really enjoyed the fight, well done to Haye. But big commiserations to ESBs Mooresy...I fear this is the end but he will go down as an absolute legend to all hardcore UK fans

yeah look at Adam's take on it, it was brief but he displeased!
Haye needs to train on the defence and study both Klits well.

Best thing about the fight is that, even after a definitive win like that, both Haye and Booth were very open and honest in criticizing certain things.

There are those that think Haye believes he's perfection. No, he works damn hard being the best he can be and keeping that attitude is invaluable.

I'd actually like to see him get his left going more. Could be a crucial punch against a guy like Wladimir.

ive said it before, ill say it again and stand by it.

Haye beats Vit, quite easily, probably on points, but still loses to Wlad. Plus i had Haye TKO tonight, only groves(or the ref) ****ed my coupon!!!!!!!!!
big respect to ruiz, took a lot of punishment and was a lot more mobile and attacking than i expected. still got a good chin.

Watched this in the bar and the place was going nuts! Ruiz showed amazing heart and a great chin to keep coming forward and make a fight of it and there was rarely a clinch! David Haye is really known by the man on the street now and he can only do good for british boxing.
