Good signing, but im gonna treat Price like im gona treat all olympians from now on. Im just gona take them with a pinch of salt, good scalp for Hayemaker promotions though.

I think his style in general could be a problem, you cant win pro title 2-1...

I think young kids should turn to unlicensed boxing before turning pro, rather than just staying Am. One, you would it would be a lil earner and 2 fighting experienced fighters in a unlicensed ring would give you a much better grounding for the pro game than an olympic final ever would...

He is going nowhere in the pro ranks, British title level would be his best hope. I guess that is somewhere, so I should qualify the "nowhere" statement, in that he has no chance of a world title and would struggle with plenty of European heavies, so I don't really see the point unless Haye is just trying to build up a big stable of guys to put on entire shows.

But the guy is too much of a name to just be a part of a wider group to make up undercards and he is simply not good enough to sell as a headline act.
Kind of stuck in a no mans land. Chin is not good enough and too tentative, with only decent power and a tendency to be a little lazy.

Perhaps he may commit to his punches more in the pros, I'm not sure.

I will reserve judgment for now.

to even get to the olympics is a fair achievement, so the guy must have some boxing talent, certainly enough to be a british title contender. the russian he ko'd in china was supposed to be iron chinned aswell, so he seems to have decent power to take to the pro game.

cant see hayemaker having him as just an undercard fighter though, im sure they'll try and bill him as one of the olympics heroes, even though he didnt medal, and no doubt hype him up. will have to be matched pretty carefully early on to see just how bad/average his chin is though.

He got to the quarters of the Worlds before withdrawing, gold at the Commonwealth, picked as team captain and medalled at Bejing and stopped the world #1 in the process, so he can't do to badly. Won't win a world title though, but may be a decent level British fighter.

Decent move from Hayemaker as they need a few more fighters. Doubt he'll go beyond British level but best of luck to him.

It seems that Adam Booth will train him and he'll be getting some sparring with Haye.
