People are saying Frank wont let him fight on another card but i have to be thinking he would love to get Hayemaker back for the Enzo fight and he has let his fighters fight on other promoters cards in the past maybe not his golden boy or at this level but i wouldnt rule Warren out letting this happen i think he really fancies Degale as the business.

The only way you can do it for £400K is to put it on the Haye event.

Will it happen?... I hope so, the Sartison idea is not the way to go.

It was £40k, not £400k. Silly sausages.

It's a pay day for FW anyway, without the ball ache of having to promote a f**King show!

    as i have said before.

yeh. youve also gotta look at it like this, even if Hayemaker made a £100k loss on the show, if Groves wins they would have hottest fighter in British boxing and one of the top prospects in the world which is worth far far far more than £100k. its a "calculated risk" as Booth loves saying

also just because they bid £400,000 doesn't mean Grove will be getting his full 40%. They may have said to him let us put in a mega bid to secure the fight but we are going to pay you less money.

plus I still think they could make a profit on the show. If you get 10,000 in an Arena, with the Sky money, and the press coverage drawing in sponsors to what will likely be an extremely high viewing figure for Sky you can make a profit of this fight.

What would the average ticket price be for the card and what percentage would the Arena take??

You don't know if any of the highlighted is fact so whatever point you are making is irrelevant.

Perhaps people on here would take you more seriously if like i've previously said, you stop stating things as fact that you are clueless about.

But is £60k enough to put him in with Groves? Don't think so - Groves is still a tough opponent. If Warren would the purse I'm assuming he wouldve made alot more than that.

Also it kinda goes without saying that he would make even more further down the line.

I think it puts Warren in a hard position personally, I think with the lack of quality Groves has shown since going pro in his defence it's only a matter of time before he is beaten by someone at European level. I'm not saying he can't improve enough to go to world level but from what I've seen so far I'm more than a little skeptical.

So Warren could take the chance of vacating and waiting for this fight to be worth a lot, but to me its a huge chance. Hayemaker to my mind would have to shovel **** in front of Groves for him to knock out while DeGale does the hard work of winning a world title and defending it a couple times while Groves builds a hollow undefeated streak (ala Hatton).

I think Warren is stuck with having to take the 60k(?) he would get for the fight now? And then hope that Groves can maybe leave Hayemaker and get a trainer better suited for him to make this a potentially interesting matchup in a rematch down the line. I used to think Groves would beat Degale but now I can't even see it being a close contest, DeGale by probably a TKO early.

Although it's all just my opinion :)

Warren lost money at the first mag7 card, I would think he lost money for the Upton Card bill as well.
