This is what he said on the fight with Waldo - from the scene.

"After this one fingers crossed I get his brother Vitali"

WHAT!?!? Am I the only person who has noticed Haye said the contract was a slave contract because he would have to fight Vitali if he beat Waldo? And now he says he wants to?

So the excuse he used to DUCK the fight for years is now something he WANTS. :huh

Right, I don't think the problem here is that Haye is scared to fight, but he's clearly the one holding up negotiations. I just think he has a huge ego and has only money on his mind. All his talk of his "legacy" is useless, he has no legacy. He's just another alphabet title holder from an era dominated by two guys he hasn't fought yet. If he was actual thinking about his legacy like he says he would have fought both of them by now and actually made a mark for himself.

No, you aren't the only one. Both before and after Haye claimed it was a slave contract, he said he wanted to fight them both...whatever fits the story he is spinning, that's how he plays it.

Am I right in saying that this bout is finally happening?

Yet people still find something to complain about?...

There's a difference in being contracted to fight before Vitali takes on other opponents.

What if Vitali loses in the meantime?

Who would want to be tied in to fight him then?

For no belts and less money!

    Its just business.

the problem was he has going to still get shot money even after beating Wlad....and the contract included a 3rd rematch and future options.

Haye will have made more money against Valuev than he did fighting the klitsckos 3 times.

    :deal

Also haye would have to rematch then fight the other brother. Also the purse splits would have been agreed in advance. So say Vitali loses his fight and loses his belt, how does that benefit haye, surely the money and the hype would be on the guy who beat vitali.

The problem was that he would have to fight Vitali for a set amount of money. So if he beats Wlad in July he can negotiate a better deal for himself vs Vitali, rather than having to fight him for shitty money, and then rematch Wlad for shitty money. Understand?

It's because Haye is a bullshitting hypejob fraud.

    It is that simple.
