I usually respect peoples opinions, but...How on earth does anyone think David Haye has a chance against either of the Klischko bros?
I think it's more a matter of Haye having the best CHANCE out of the current heavyweights to beat one or both them. He's prime and I think he's got the speed and power to get the job done on either brother. However, his size and chin (and heart?) have repeatedly been called into question, and they are significant factors when fighting either Klitschko. I think most would agree that Haye has the better chance against Wlad and his weaker chin, however others seem to think Vitali is on the rapid decline. I don't think he hurts a prime Vitali, but it is very possible that his age plays enough of a factor for a Haye win.
Because many people keep defining the Klitsckos, especially Wlad, by the lowest moments of their careers. And because they don't understand the simple fact that tall fighters look slower than they are because the naked eye measures speed of an object in relation to its own size. How many opponents of Wlad said after the fight they didn't expect him to be this fast? How many fighters known for speed failed to use it against Vitali? Haye's speed is overrated, he overpowered his opponents at cruiser and is faster than old, slow HW's like Valuev, Ruiz, Harrison. He won't have much of a speed advantage that is usable against the Klitschkos.
:good Good post. Haye has a very small chance of beating either of them. They have too many advantages over him and I'm with you on Haye's speed being overrated. Haye is a very good fighter but both Klitschkos have more than enough to beat him.
Corrie Sanders Lamon Brewster and most of all....Ross Purrity (24-13-1 when he fought Wlad, ended his career 31-20-3) And the fact that they really havent been challenged by a world class fighter yet, and Haye is that. Thats why it is very easy for me to see he will beat them and make them look ordinary. What im saying is just fact. Give me one world class fighter the Klitchkos have defeated? Sure they have beaten everyone they can, and that is all they can do about it, but they havent been impressive at all doing it For example Vitali couldnt stop a 38 year old Briggs while Lennox Lewis ended him before the fight even reached half way, while he was a lot younger, fresher, and stronger.
Yeah but that was years ago. Wlad is 13-0 with 12 KOs since then, and against much better competition than Ross Purity. (Lamon Brewster, brutally avenged during that stretch.) Chagaev, Peter (three times between the 2), Byrd, Thompson... And just because the Klitschkos made these guys look ordinary doesn't mean they weren't world class. Dude, Vitaly not only kicked the living **** out of Briggs for 12 rounds, he literally broke his face. A number of factors, if different, would have changed the outcome. If Briggs had a corner with half a brain between the 3 of them, they would have stopped the fight after the 9th round. If the referee had just a quarter of a brain, he would have stopped the fight after or during the 9th round. And besides... what makes you think Haye will fare any better than Briggs or anyone else the Klitschkos have fought in the last 7 years? His wins over Valuev (who Chagaev already beat), Ruiz (who was shot to **** and never any good in the first place), and Harrison (...)?? People like yourself are in for a massive shock when Haye finally sacks up and fights a Klitschko.
Just what I said before, people keep defining the Klitschkos by the lowest points of their careers. Sanders was totally underestimated by Wlad, something he doesn't do anymore. Purrity and Brewster took terrible punishment to beat Wlad, not a gameplan for Haye to follow. Which world class fighter has Haye defeated? Would the best fighters H2H that Haye beat look good against the best Wlad beat? Fragomeni, Mormeck, Valuev, Ruiz against Byrd, Mercer, Chambers, Chagaev? Could easily be 4:0 for Wlad's opponents.
They dont even have to think Haye has a chance, some just dont like the Klits. So actually everyone have a chance to beat them in their head
Hayes a puncher. That alone gives him at least a chance. Plus the Klitchskos don't exactly look like invincible scaled up versions of Pacquiao & Mayweather.
