Haye's game plan is a mistake?

It would be a mistake if it's true, but it probably isn't. The only thing Haye could do different was to try and bum-rush Wlad which has about 10% chance of being succesful and 90% chance of Haye winding up a jabbed-through pulp on the floor. Still 10% is more chance than most have against Wladimir.

Agreed I would love to see someone smash Booths face in! Hopefully Haye will turn on him after his gameplan fails.
