Haye's, Hatton's and now Calzaghe's promotional company - what future they hold?

The three biggest fighters from the UK now all started their promotional company - and unlike Mayweather's or Winky's company (whose idea is to promote their OWN fights), the 2 British and the Welsh boxer are looking to go the Golden Boy way, staging several shows per year - and ultimately ending up being each others competition.

Oscar De La Hoya's company is not only the model to follow: Hatton's Punch Promotions and Haye's Hayemaker Promotions has already teamed up with Golden Boy, and now it looks like Calzaghe Promotions is looking for a deal with the American company. Benefit could be TV deals on both sides of the Atlantic, and staging co-promoted shows on the both sides as well.

Whether Calzaghe will have another fight or not - one possibly at the Millennium Stadium - his company will move on and work from the very beginning to build up a regular company anyway. I don't know whether Enzo will be part of it, but putting his actual training methods away, if you know him, you have to admit: he has a goddamn great eye for boxing, knows his stuff very well, therefore as a matchmaker, he'd do great.

Of course people overlook the fact that other than DLH's good relationship with HBO and sponsors - and his wallet -, a great business-minded figure was needed to kick-off - and he found the right person in the infamous Richard Schaefer. Together with matchmaker Erik Gomez, they are really the minds behing GBP. So the 3 UK fighters has to find their own Richie Rich, which made the difference between GBP and a company like Square Ring Promotions.

So, guys, what do you think of Hatton, Calzaghe and Haye starting their own promotional companies, and looking for several shows per year, not necessarily at the biggest stage (when they fight), but also small shows, building up own fighters. How far can they go? Are they a real threat to the actual promotionsal giants? Will their ultimate success prevented by being each others competition?

They might either end up swallowing each other whole or one might fall out of the picture...when there's 3...one usually falls short...if they're all strong...then they all die

But i think it will do pretty big considering what kind of Euro fighters theyll bring to the spotlight and offer a more wider variety of fights between promotion companies
