I watched the interview and tried to read between the lines...

He said it was a very well respected heavyweight in the inteview and that people would be "very surprised" that he took the fight,,if it came off.

That leads me to believe it is either sam peter or valuev.

I would not be surprised if it is peter, haye is not scared of anyone.
But with Hayes chin, it would be a real test.:good

The best fights out there for him is definately one of these guys:

    Valuev
    Brock
    Austin
    or Brewster

A win over any of those guys would put him one fight from a world title challenge.

I think Haye would annhilate Valuev. His speed would be WAY too much for that ****ing freak. He'd probably starch Rahman too, but thats a much more dangerous fight coz Rahman can really dig, and Haye's got a questionable chin/defense.

He could have a massive 2008 if he wanted too. I read on the BBC website he was offering Macerinelli another fight at a catchweight, not to mention the prospect of this unknown big heavyweight he's in talks with. Look at it like this

    March - Enzo Mac @ 210lbs
    August - Jameel McCline
    December - Juan Carlos Gomez

He'd go into 2009 as the main contender for the WBC title and stake his claim to the ring belt. Haye - Klitschko and Haye - Povetkin are fights I cant wait to happen.

No way he knows he would get slated if he is fighting Audley.

And for god sake its not Sam Peter as he is fighting Masakaev for the title in Febuary!

Did you ever think he was arranging for a fight with the winner in May?

He will have tune up first, of course...

God i shouldn't even bother answering this.

No because the winner of Masakaev vs Peter will have to fight Vitali Klitschko and even if they didn't there is no way Peter or Masakaev would fight in May. July the earliest.

To see Golota fight Haye would be worthwhile. Take the brits over to the USA and sit alongside Golota's fans. Don't know which one would be the better fights.

You should not discount the possibility of a fight happening based on 2 months difference.

Also Vitali has been injured in his previous comeback when training and who says he will be fit again? I cannot see him sanctioned to fight for another title based on another non appearnence.

I think Vitali is finished now. Haye is next up for either of these two, if he picks the next heavyweight dross tune up fight correctly and beats them.

I would bet everything i own on Peter or Maskaev to not fight Haye this year, let alone by May.

I think JC Gomez is very beatable.. At least it would be a live opponent and David would find Carlos Gomez easy to beat or easier........
