We don't what the injury is yet(unless chef knows?) or the extent of the damage.
It's been said his hand, someone else said it may be his back.

    In the Setanta report said
"An independent verification of the injury is required before a decision on the future of the fight can be confirmed and a new date fixed for the Schalke showdown."

So guessing Team Haye is getting in a specialist in whatever the injury is to see how bad it is, plus how long he'll be out of action.

Hayes team only asked for 6/8 weeks delay so i imagine they don't think it's too serious.

If it is his right hand and it turns out to be broken how will it affect his punching power?

Calzaghe was never a KO artist but once he broke his hand/s in the late 90's he had trouble for the rest of his career and never had that power again.

Hayes whole style is based around swarming early and land big punches, the big right cross mainly, to KO fighters.

How will is style of fighting be affected if it's a bad break on the right hand?

Will have the patience to be a boxer?

(Klitschko fans please don't bother turning this into a "Hayes scaried" thread. Go jerk off to Wlad's training pics instead. :good)

He should not fight with an injured hand.

I hope people don't give Haye shite if he doesn't have a doctors verification. Maybe he just doesnt like doctors?

So long as it gets the proper treatment then it shouldn't affect his style in the ring.
I guess a back injury would be slightly worse in that respect.

It's probably a broken finger or something and it'll take a few weeks. We'll see.

    What we were told was:
1st....would not state what the injury was
2nd... was told one of his hands
3rd.....RTL(German TV) was told one of his knees or feet
    4th...(from Booth) Back injury

thats all I know about the injury

I won't rip into Haye much but it looks terrible considering all the talking he did. His British fans who paid money to for tickets and hotels are the ones that should be really pissed off.

Wlad wasted too much time with this guy legit injury or not. Time to move on try to get Valuev and WBA belt. very disappointing from haye though

    back could be serious enough!

i`m still hoping its a psyche, and he`ll go ahead with the fight anyway with his 'injury', hoping Wlad will under estimate him...... very, very, very, very doubtful!but i`m hoping.....

As much as I'm upset this fight isn't happening, Haye should not fight Wlad unless he's fully fit!!! I don't give him a great chance as it is, he'd get KO'd easily and have his reputation ruined if he fought Wlad anyhting less than 100%.
