Enzo Calzaghe is about 5ft and way past his prime, Haye beating him means nothing. Can't believe it took him two rounds....

 

Well, Haye has taken just as many risks in 21 fights as Calzaghe has in 45.

Plus Mormeck was 35 and Maccarinelli never in against real top, top class guys.....you're wrong

But Haye does take risks but that's cos he is a free agent and not tied down to one promoter

 

Kessler is better than Mormeck and Maccarinelli

Kessler was so far above those two wins it is not even debatable - but what the heck, let's debate..

Kessler beating Markus Beyer was not his biggest feat.. giving beatings to Mundine with a back injury and smashing Andrade was..

What has Maccarinelli done that was any near? Kessler has beaten 5 fighters who were in top 10 at the time he faced them. Maccarinelli: you count, i can't find any.

Mormeck is a better win, but still nowhere near Kessler. He did beat Virgil Hill and O'Neill Bell (who also KO'ed him) though.

 

Where did you go Krisv1? Are you gonna let me win?

 

Mormeck is Haye's best win and he deserves credit for it, but Mormeck was way past his prime and still knocked him down. Maccarinelli is an overprotected bum, there are a dozen better CWs out there, that win isn't really that meaningful outside the UK. Calzaghe's flawless wins over prime fighters in Lacy and especially Kessler mean so much more.

 

Maccarinelli isn't even remotely as good a cruiserweight as Kessler is a super middleweight. It's ridiculous to compare them.

Mormeck was older, past his best when Haye got him with that punch behind the ear, Lacy was at his peak when he fought Calzaghe. Haye was almost KOed by Mormeck, while Calzaghe totally dominated Lacy in every round.

This is why I have Haye as British P4P number 1. Beating Don King's top cruiser on a Don King card and FW's top cruiser on a FW card. He's done exactly the same as Calzaghe but more convincingly, in less time and on other promotors' cards.
