I think this comment shows how much of a waste calzaghes career has been haye has had far fewer fights yet is already taking risks that calzaghe & warren have only started taking now. Calzaghe is a great fighter but can you imagine the career he would of had if he would've taken risks earlier he could've been a ATG. p.s Calzaghe wins are better than Hayes H2H
Calzaghe basically outclassed both and laid the biggest beat down In boxing on Lacy while Haye was eating shots from Mormeck and went down himself before doing a number on Enzo. Haye's brilliant at Cruiser but people are getting carried away with him he's No 2 In the British p4p.
iF Calzaghe did fight Jones (peak version) Toney/Hopkins ealrier he would have no legacy. He is the typical Frank Warren fighter...manufactured. I have to give Calzaghe credit...it still is a mark of his class that he has defended hios title 20+ times, but how many champions got through 10 defences these days without bumping into at least 1 great fighter. Calzaghe has gone 20 defences without fighting 1 great fighter.
Kessler is no better than Enzo Macranelli, MAcranelli beat Braithwait, Dominguez etc, that is just as credible as kesllers wins against Andrade and Beyer
Mormeck was the man before Haye beat him. The best thing about Enzo was the hype around him and (similar to Hatton against Mayweather) people believing that the fight was close to a 50-50 when in fact the fighter was well and truely out of their depth. Calzaghe has fought a lot of other decent fighters than just Lacy and Kessler. At this point in their careers I think I'd say that Calzaghe's record is better. If Haye can win a HW title then we might be to re-assess.
