He should win but it is a good opponent for a tune up.

I think it's this - 'Never fought outside of Switzerland and best win is Bakhtov...'

Taking the long road to the top!

    Bakhtov dropped him as well...

I hadn't seen De Mori fight prior to the fight being announced either. I'll YouTube the guy but if this is anything other than another Haye cash-in farce, I'll be very surprised

I've said Briggs would be a farce but at least it would be entertaining and fans would watch just for the F of it. Briggs has a name at least although he's ancient. Gjergajaiai I've never heard of and nobody outside of the UK will watch this farce.

    Weak. Should've accepted Briggs.

With Briggs crashing the press conference and potentially fighting on the undercard, wouldn't be surprised if they're building it up as a PPV fight in the UK. It's a mismatch, but Briggs would sell it to the public.

If Haye wins by KO early and Briggs did as well (against someone like Gary Cornish- good record etc), it would do big numbers over in the UK.

    Very disappointing.

Haye - Briggs is the better matchup.

Haye fights people we've never heard of because they come cheap.

Would Briggs get a license in the UK? I doubt it.

I'm struggling to think of a credibly opponent who'd be available. Pulev is fighting Chisora. Browne is caught up in this testing row and I think committed to fighting Oquendo, nobody in their right mind is going to Chechnya for Chagaev, Takam and Parker are fighting each other. Teper is embroiled in a drugs scandal, Glazkov is injured.

Fury is obviously with Wlad and hates Haye. Martin is fighting Joshua. Povetkin is fighting Wilder.

So who does that leave? Ortiz? Breazeale? Ustinov? Miller? Scott? Stiverne? I guess any of those would be better than this guy. I thought Gerber would be the lowest ranked opponent he'd dig up.

What is the name of Haye's opponent? OP seems to have made a major typo of jumbled letters, and passed that off as Haye's opponent.
