Hayes one of them fighters who just cant take a fraction of what he dishs out

I think Hayes toughness is under rated. Have you ever seen him knocked down and not get up?

Fair enough he can get hurt, but agaisnt Thompson he showed to much heart if anyhting. If he has tucked up and used his jab in rounds 3-4 and slowed the pace down, he could of come back into it. Against Mock he showed determination to hold on when hurt, and agaisnt Mormeck he did exactly what he should have done agaisnt Thompson. Also remember he got hit by Monte Barret when he was down, a far worse shot than Dirrell took and he was buzzed by it, but he stopped him that round.

 

Haye has moved on since then though, and looks more rugged and durable.

I would like to know exactly what changed after the Thompson fight though, in terms of how much he was slacking in training before the fight and how much he intensified the training afterwards.

Booth said something about Haye staying more relaxed now when taking a shot, where as before he stiffened up. Hayed himself has said Booth has 'opened his mind'. Maybe moving to higher plane mentally has improved his ability to take a shot?

But for me, you are reading too much into Audley in this. You've got Haye's weakness (ie his chin) spot on. But Audley does not have the tools to exploit this. And I think most people would agree that Wlad and Vit probably do.

As for the fantasist of Haye being able to take what he dishes out, there is no other David Haye in the division so it's a bit of a moot point. In the same way we'll never know whether Ali could outbox Ali, there's no point wondering whether Haye could KO Haye.

 

I also don't think Audley is that big a puncher. The shot was a bit of a fluke.

 

So what we're saying is, if we were ranking Haye on different criteria, he'd score higher for attack and power than he would durability?
