I take it you have missed out the other top 10 guys because they either have belts or have fights already made?

I think the biggest statement he could make is if he fought someone who Wlad has already fought but looked better than Wlad did.

ie Sultan Ibragimov or Tony Thompson.

Is it wrong for me to want to see Matt Skelton get his head riped off by Haye?

    Meehan not acceptable??

He is in good form, highly ranked (should be fighting for the WBA soon) and would be a very winnable fight for Haye.
    Better choice than Golota IMO.

This pull out stuff makes me think it was Meehan, he has got a big chance of fighting Chagaev from December onwards and may have been given the official nod from King.

Just a thought but if Haye is negotiating with King he may need to watch crap like this happening again, King and Warren are "thick as" and it may not be the last time he gets let down at the last minute.

That having been said, it all guess work and supposition, just wish we had an opponent and date, Haye has every chance of mopping this division up, Klitschko has regreessed for me under Manny, he fights like a scared man and Haye has every chance of beating him, something I did not really believe until watching the Klitschko/Thompson fight.

True but Ruiz got Ko'ed in 19 secs by Tua, but came back to redeem himself with a very successful career after that.

Meehan has sorta done that, went 12 with Brewster and nearly knocked him out. Got a highlight reel over TOS and has forged a decent career considering he was essentially retired not long after the Williams fight.

Haye still has 4 guys ranked ahead of him in the rankings at WBC, a few in front of him in WBO. Kali is ranked by all 4 orgs, top 10 in two of them and no2 in the WBA. Certainly couldnt hurt Haye fighting him.

Im really just saying he is surely a better option than Golota.

I would like to see him fight Travis Walker. Good puncher.

Haye should not be fighting Golota.

His last fight his feet where heavy and he had an awfully tough time, against a fighter he would have easily beaten 5 years ago.

Im afraid at this time in his career Golota is made for Haye and Haye and his advisors know it.

If they do end up fighting as always ill be rooting for Golota.

You can put Rahim and Toney out of the list and Thompson and Sultan then too.

Well id say Rahman and Toney have a little left in the tank than Golota, not much more for Rahman as i think Haye would have no trouble with him also. When it comes to Toney though i think he has a very good chance of beating Haye, his moves are still cute enough to make Haye look daft. Remember styles make fights.

As to Thompson and Sultan i think both are great fights, both are coming off losses to the numero uno of the division and Sultan is quick with a decent dig and Thompson is a very big strong, durable guy who could take all Haye has got and be the one standing at the end.

Golota though looked awful in his last fight.

Rahman and Toney have been bad for awhile now. Thompson looked so slow and awful vs Wlad I nearly cried and Sultan was a pure embarrassment. I still would not mind seeing Haye fighting Thompson and Sultan just to see if he can do a better job than Wlad. I would hate to see and would feel ashamed for Haye if he were to fight Rahman or Toney.

Golota is a name but little elseand at least he is ok rated.
