I know Rahman and Toney have been pretty dire lately but at least they have been fairly active compared to Golota, and you always have the extra 'meltdown' factor to take into consideration when Golota fights. But i do see where you are coming from:good Thompson surprised me in his fight with Wlad....yes it was awful to watch and yes he isnt spectacular, but he is pretty durable and a solid opponent for Hayes first fight. Sultan is alot better than Wlad let him be, plus he is similar size to Haye and he has enough pop to turn Hayes lights out and his speed could offset Haye. It would be good as you said if Haye fought these and did better than Wlad. At least he could actually start to brag with a genuine reason.
Haye would be too fast for either Sultan or Thompson The ones that could trouble him (other than Wlad) for me are Chagaev, due to his iron chin, and possibly Valuev, who could make Haye eat the jab all night long.
Golota won his last fight agaisnt mollo, probs the best heavyweight fight in a long time, was an absolute war.
At least Thompson and Ibragimov arent putting their long term health at risk getting in the ring with Haye, thats more than the other 3 can say.
Walker and Johnson are head and shoulders better fighters than Rahman at this point. Hell I would pick young and virtually untested Boytsov over Rahman, that man is done.
