All the King's horses and all the King's men will still be trying to piece Haye's jaw together 12 months from now.
I do find it strange that Haye is on record as criticizing the strategy of a lot of other fighters who have faced Wlad, that he has been critical of them " standing infront of Wlad", but that is pretty much what he's advocating in that video.
But if Haye chooses to do this without rhythm, do you think it will upset Wladimirs timing? Because Hopkins is also great at timing, but he struggled with Pascals assault in the first few rounds. Maybe if Haye could do this and attack at angles likes you say, he could have a lot of success.
I agree totally. There's no way Haye can come on the inside and trade with Wlad. He's not Joe Frazier by any means. He can't wait on the outside all night, Wlad would KO him with his jab alone. He's got to box in flurries even if he's not landing. Wlad isn't the most active boxer of all time, so a couple of flashy flurries here and the could give Haye the decision even if Wlad is not seriously hurt in the fight. There's also some possibilities that Haye land one of his Hayemaker during those flurries and it could end the fight. The problem is that Haye has never been a really active boxer, so nothing indicates he can do what Pascal did to Dawson. My prediction (if the fight happens) is Wlad by KO in the 10th round but Haye has a better chance than most of his previous opponents. That's why we want the fight, no ?
You have to remember this fight will most likely be in Germany, so Haye's foolish if he thinks he's gonna win a decision. He either totally dominates VK for 12 rounds, where there's NO CHANCE that the judges can influence the fight, or he goes for the KO. At any rate, he's got a tough night ahead of him. But strangely, I think he can pull off the upset with a dedicated game plan.
