Bull**** post. The supposed ultimate athlete/boxer was found wanting against the alleged robot. Haye would never beat Wlad, Haye lost to the more intelligent, better, stronger, faster boxer who turned out as anyone with half a brain already knew, the superior athlete. Haye had his chance and got embarrassed, only the casuals still hold hope regarding Haye.
You didn't watch that fight properly. Haye was in trouble for 5 rounds, he was clearly uncomfortable when Chisora was hunting him down and applied pressure at short range. Then Haye found a winning perfect combination that flattened Chisora. The fight was even until then, this wasn't a 5 round one-sided beatdown win for Haye.
I second that. Haye has excellent timing and combination skills. His raw power is probably average for a HW, but if the opponent doesn't see it coming then it can still be devastating.
This can be best seen in the Ruiz fight imo, shocked Ruiz with his speed and timing in the first but still took another 8 rounds to finish the job.
You're stretching saying he was "in trouble" for 5 rounds. I rewatched the fight last month for fun, and it was fairly competitive whilst it lasted, but it wasn't "even" either. Haye had still won every round, he was on the backfoot and Chisora was definitely applying pressure with occasional success, not enough that would lead to him taking over down the stretch though imo, and Haye was the one landing significantly more punches and generally the better shots too. Chisora's best punch of the fight came after the bell too if I remember. Convincing win for Haye, not a total blow-out but far, far much easier than how Whyte made it look. This content is protected
Arguably Chisora prepared more for this fight he was with Povetkin and Jennings in training. maybe Whyte just fought a tougher Chisora? Haye does hit harder than ppl think, they just don't want to believe that.
Haye at least used to be a good talent. It's hard to tell now. He probably doesn't move like he did four years ago. I would also add that talent means nothing without application. There's plenty of hype around Haye, same with Joshua, but most of it made up of what it looks like they can do. Haye has shown he is not a whatever-the-weather fighter. Joshua looks to have a build that will become his enemy if he faces someone who can move and wants to win.
