Trouble ? Foreman was losing so that's being in trouble of losing a decision. Haye was WINNING and scored the tko in round 5, how could anyone interpret that as trouble. What you're basically saying is, if you're not dominating to the point of making your opponent look bad you're then in trouble . Trouble to me is when a fighter is getting beaten pretty clearly and it's looking terrible if said fighter isn't capable of making huge adjustments and turning the tide. We have different views on many things boxing, obviously
No I'm just speaking English, that's all: trou·ble difficulty or problems. "I had trouble finding somewhere to park" synonyms: problems, difficulty, bother, inconvenience, worry, concern, anxiety, distress, stress, strife, agitation, harassment, hassle, unpleasantness I think its more of a different view of the understanding of "trouble".
What is his best KO at Heavyweight? Audley? Chisora? Both are mediocre fighters. He hasn't KOed any of the better opponents at Heavyweight. And I use that term lightly because his resume at Heavyweight isn't good.
Very good insight I think you have a good point; He does have power, without question, but maybe his greatest asset is timing, speed and accuracy with which to deliver his respectable power
Almost every thread on Haye neglects the fact that he had major surgery on his right shoulder. Shoulder injuries are serious set backs in any sport that requires a lot of hand/arm extensions/movement. I know. My right shoulder has greatly limited scope compared to pre injury and it's always at risk of becoming painful. Vitali's sustained shoulder injuries during the Byrd and Chisora fights, and there's every chance Haye could do some recurring damage in training or during a fight. Same with Wilder. Injuries and their persisting legacies are a huge factor in all sports.
Haye while having to work harder was 4-0 was starting to back chisora up was stronger in the clinch and was starting to light Chisora up with combinations, then the left hook started the end for chisora. Got to credit for chisoras chin, he took punches that would have at least knocked down other heavies. The only comparable heavyweight fights where haye threw as much were the Ruiz and Barrett fights and how many times did Haye knock them down.
Good post, Haye landed the classier shots no doubt, but had he not blasted him out when he did, I think he was going to lose the fight. He was gassing, I had a bet on Haye and feared for it, as I didn't think he had the energy to go the distance.
His 4th and 5th rounds (before the big finish) were Hayes best rounds of the fight, he was landing cleaner and cleaner as the fight went on.
