I think the real underlying reasoing behind Haye's hesitancy to accept this July mega fight date determined by SKY, is due to:..............

IF Wlad fights Chisora, then the WBA will FORCE Haye to also use his time by fighting his mandatory, Chagaev.
And since this is the deal breaker for Haye, I think it boils down to Haye not being very confident in his ability to get by Chagaev, while Wlad *tunes up* on the undefeated Chisora.........

And in order to avoid the Chagaev fight, Haye is willing to sit idle til July, and expects Wlad to do the same, so he (Haye) won't have to fight that damned Chagaev........LOL...........

That about sums it up, don't you think? :good

haye is a ****ing joke, I don't know how anyone can take this idiot seriously.
Why wait til October to retire? He's just gonna have the usual one fight in that time anyway, and it will likely be against an Audley-calibre opponent.

If he does its cause he's forced to. And if they do force him to fight Chagaev, then why call of the July date with Wlad, which wont' be affected by the Chagaev/Chisora fights, either way.............????

Seems like Haye is throwing a tantrum.

your a fool if you think wlad will fight on april 30th and then on july 2nd vs haye!.

he has pretty much no break, then goes straight back into a training camp, which is a short one at that!.

and that haye would fight as late as june then fight on july 2nd!.

He's throwing a tantrum over the WBA and Wlad making his schedule for him.

Haye thought he'd be able to avoid the tough Chageav fight and go right for the unification mega fight.........but since he has to fight Chagaev, against his own will, he's throwing a tantrum and making Wlad pay by calling off the mega fight for BOTH of them...................

SOunds rediculous, but why else would Haye call off a July fight that the two idle time fights (Chagaev and Chisora) won't affect, either way?

April 30th to July 2nd would be very doable, given that Wlad will take Chisora out in a mere few rounds and won't be touched in the process.

It's probably more to do with Haye wanting Wlad and Vitali. Unless Wlad fights him soon, he can't do that.

Which is why it makes absolutely NO SENSE that Haye just didn't agree to July 2nd, with Wlad taking the interim fight.

As you say, he's got to fight Chagaev now. Which, if Haye had signed the fight for July 2nd...he would have had to either fight Chagaev first, or work around the deadline somehow (and for unification I'm sure that could have been taken care of).

Now, since Haye was supposedly all ready to sign before Wlad said he wanted an interim fight, we can conclude that the Chagaev situation was already taken care of.

So again, why not just sign? Worst case scenario (if Wlad got injured against Chisora) Haye fights Chagaev first....which is the situation he finds himself in now.

Ya, but when Wlad KOs Haye, there's no reason for him to fight Vitali.

The entire Wlad in Summer, Vitali in Fall talk that is always mentioned assumes that Haye beats Wlad first.

Haye's WORST POSSIBLE OUTCOME, by choosing to sign for July 2nd, is no worse than the current situation he is in now.

    So why not sign?

Is he that afraid of Chagaev?
