Haye's Redemption. What's it gonna take?

    I was in on all the Haye "glass jaw" jokes, but he proved me wrong. And he won my respect, tho I still dont like him...

    Yep the Wlad smackdown hype got the better of me too.

    I think his particular version of trash talk was the biggest problem. He started hyping far too early. He never tried to sound funny or mischevous and always came across as being sour. He never needed to do that and it was probably the worst type of trash talk to use against a "Gentleman" Champ.

    Sometimes a fighter is so fundamentally flawed that they are beyond redemption. In some cases it is a glass chin, in some cases it is being too slow, or having sloppy defense.

    Haye has lots of problems with his technique, but the thing which makes him too fundamentally flawed for redemption is between his ears.

    He has not been helped by his fanbase who are blind to his flaws, and help him foster his delusions.
