It isn't at all. And considering "how ****" you claim the division is then it makes his cv even more laughable. Other than Wlad he fought none of the dangerous contenders or serious players when he had the chance.

Ha ha ha ha ha, no.

Of course he fooking would have.

Here's the fellas he could of had that were around prime while Haye held the regular WBA title.

    Peter
    Adamek
    Solis
    Vitali
    Chagaev
    Povetkin
    Chambers
    Thompson
    Arreola
    Boytsov
    Juan Carlos Gomez
    Helenius

Instead he fed on shot 40 year old versions of Ruiz, Barrett and Audley fooking Harrison no less. Even the current version of Chagaev is a better match up than any of these clowns. Other than Wlad Tyson Fury is the best HW Haye will face. Tyson fooking Fury! Have a think about that one for a minute.

Of course it's somewhat overrated, but not as much anymore as it was before. Most here and on other forums just see it for what it is at the moment, an easy (low risk) path to big paydays against older and very beatable opposition.

Back in 2009 the Valuev fight sounded the alarm bells for me, with a performance wich normally wouldn't have awarded him the belt from Niko in Germany. Before the fight almost everybody was in agreement that he would either have to dominate or stop Valuev to take it, and he didn't come close to doing that of course.
After that the "100lbs difference", "Can't beat Valuev any other way", "First to wobble the giant", "Took the title from the champ in his homecountry", "Did what he had to do", "Who else became a CW/HW champ in only his 24th fight" bullcrap came out and the tone was set.

So there was a lot of reason to overrate his accomplishments at the time, to build him up as the guy with who might be able to beat a Klit brother, and end the nightmares of the fans who hated them and/or hoped to have a champion from one of the established (English speaking) countries.

I really love and rate Haye's brief CW run probably as high as anyone. 3 great wins make him worthy of discussing among the notable all time CW's when factoring his short stay, in my opinion.

HW has been a disappointing bust for Haye to me as a fan. A whopping two wins of note. Valuev was one of the worst titlists in boxing some would say but I'll give him a fair amount of credit for that. Chisora was a pretty good win. Still, just one top 10 ranked opponent at HW for Haye. Lame.

david hayes hw resume can be summed up by a fellow poster...

this is exactly what it is at the moment

if he had beaten wlad then all those easy opponents would be excused, but i think haye himself knows he can never beat wlad

Destroyed Barrett, Beat Valuev easily away from home in Germany, Destroyed Ruiz, cashed in on Audley Harrison , went the distance with Wlad and then become the first man to stop Chisora knocking him out in 5 (something Vitali,Helenius, and Fury didnt even come close too.)

I don't think anyone who is objective thinks Haye has ever had a decent resume at heavyweight. Valuev was a weak champion, Ruiz was past his best. His last win over Chisora is arguably his best win at heavyweight due to the fact he stopped him when nobody else could.

you say hes had no dangerous fights at heavyweight but there are no dangerous heavyweights around except wlad al others he would smash including pulev, charr and wilder.
Tony Thompson wouldnt want to get in there with Haye hes had enough beatings in sparring off him.

Turned into a domestic journeyman, if he loses to Fury which I hope he does he will probably line Price up next.

David Haye is the definition of "Prizefighter". He is just making millions without having to fight that often and against dangerous opposition.
