lennox did, what other fighters should have done, retired when the time was right.. no need for further punishment to the body or head, no need to risk ending up like ali or others.. he won, he knew the time was right, and such a decision, deserves nothing but praise..

That other guy got tons of credit from the Klit-ites for writing war and peace about Lewis being lucky yet you manage to sum up the cold hard facts in 5 short lines. Quality over quantity at it's finest.

Thing is Lewis V Jones at the time would have been a big seller even though everyone knows who would have won now, back then Jones hadn't been KO'd so people had an interest in seeing it. A Tyson rematch would also have been mega because the Tyson fans always had that belief that he could get back what he once had, and at least a shot Tyson managed to go 8 rounds with Lewis which is 2 rounds more than VITLAY - and Lewis actually bothered to train for Tyson too :hi:

That's just one example of how ****ing ******ed Klitschko fans are though, these aren't boxing fans they're Klitschko fans. The same idiots that came up with the vaseline excuses when WALD lost to Brewster, the same idiots that accused Lewis of making the cut worse with his dreadlocks, the same idiots that say 2 of the 3 knockdowns against Peter were down to illegal punches, the same idiots that say Vitaly wasn't in desperate trouble at the end of that 6th round against Lewis, the same idiots that say VITLAY lost the fight but won the event :lol:

I wonder where all the Bruno nut-huggers are, he won 4 rounds against Lewis too before he got stopped, and no rematch. Lewis is a coward, dammit :rofl

By the same token not even SRR could throw a punch and say "This one is going to knock this guy out and prove I'm the better man", surely?

Why is it considered lucky to damage a fighter one way and not another?
Say Lewis had thrown a wild haymaker in that 2nd round when he'd got rocked and knocked VITLAY the **** out? For my money that would have been FAR more lucky than opening a cut and then repeatedly hitting it for 3 rounds to finish the fight.

And if you can't tell, which, you never know, Im a Lewis fan. Wlad got crushed when he gassed vs. Brewster, Peter did floor him illegally twice, but they got counted, so, Peter floored him thrice. Nobody was in desperate trouble except Klitscko's eye sight and "rugged good looks", as his fan's here once described them, that was all pure exhaustion from both guys. Thats my answer to all the "klit-ite" accusatory bull****.

I was presenting a theory. If everbody likes it, I don't care. Whether you agree, don't care. Just treat me with respect. I have just as much if not more firsthand knowledge than anybody. People who spend all day calling eachother nuthuggers and haters are the disgraces here, not the opinionated. Vitali deserved a rematch undeniably, but the reason he didn't get one, his foe was aged, close to shot and the win would be meaningless, is a damn good reason for it not happening. In the end, boxing history is better without LL vs VK II. We don't need another shot champion getting knocked out and allowing it to pad his successors record undeservedly.

Your scenario would have been a lucky punch. Mine describes a lucky result. A punch was thrown, landed, and opened a cut that changed the fight and its nature complete.

Magna, all of what you're saying makes a lot of sense and is well-conceived. Unfortunately, I think it is wasted on many, for one reason or another. I think some in here may not understand a fighter's or champion's mentality. That is your background but it is not shared by all here, so some either do not want to, or cannot, relate to it.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I and others have really enjoyed reading them on this topic. Don't worry about the lack of respect shown here. If Lennox himself took up the keyboard he would be treated the same way. It's the way of the internet and, I have found, sometimes it's not worth going back and forth with someone who may be much younger, far less experienced and simply unable to fully grasp what you're saying. That doesn't make the insults any less annoying, but, to put it bluntly, you probably have better things to do. Take it from someone who has engaged in many such 'flame wars' through the years that led to nothing and nowhere.

Again, thanks for the thoughts and look forward to more from you in the future. :good:thumbsup

I never said you were a Klit-ite, I just provided examples of Klit-ite excuses over the years. The fact that you agree with the Peter and Brewster bull**** makes me extremely suspicious if I'm honest, anyone with eyes could see that WALD got hit with hard punches against Brewster and got hit legitimately against Peter because he kept turning away from his opponent.

Also you say that it would pad VITLAYS record undeservedly if the rematch happened and he beat Lewis (which isn't exactly a foregone conclusion, by the way) yet you discredit Lewis's win by saying it was lucky. Why exactly is that? You don't want the great champs legacy tarnished yet you tarnish it by claiming luck was involved, I don't get it.

As for the punch that caused the cut changing the outcome of the fight, you don't know that. It hastened the finish of the fight for sure, but how do you know that Lewis wouldn't have won anyway? Remember Vitaly himself said at the end that he could see just fine. Either you believe what Vitaly said and conclude that Lewis would have been only 4-2 down after 6 with or without the cut, or you have to conclude that Vitaly was lying about being able to see properly and say that Lewis won the fight legitimately by inflicting sufficient damage in order to stop his opponent - a TKO in every sense, and by no means 'lucky'.

What's that KO rate that you VITLAY sack-swingers keep quoting again?

Lewis took VITLAYS Sunday best shots so either VITLAY has a bull**** padded record or Lewis has an iron chin.

    Which is it?

and by all accounts I have seen, Vitali takes the best punch an opponent can throw.

First thing you've ever said that I agree with, well done.

I was just responding to the moron having a snide dig at Haye's and Lewis's chins.
