He hasn't fought anybody who is as good and as strong as Wlad yet for anybody to say that he will be this effective against Wlad. All his speed will mean **** when a real HW touches that chin, lets see if Big Mouth is able to deal with Wlad's power!
A fight of this magnitude is going to scare him and not allow him to fight his fight, haye won't be able to pull the trigger and Wlad is gonna lay him out...I hope!!
All Wlad has to do is stay clear of Haye's powerful counter right hand early on in the fight. He will move laterally away from Haye's right while blistering him with power left jabs. If Haye gets frustrated and charges forward Wlad grabs and clinches him and wears Haye out real fast. When Haye tires as he will he will start looping his punches and then Wlad starts throwing straight right hands right down the middle and it's over.
I can tell you guys one thing -- David Haye ain't countering over the top of Wlad's jab with no overhand rights. He will find that he is open to be KTFO whenever he tries that. Wlad is hard to hit period and his hooking off of the jab is something Haye might have serious problems with. You can time Enzo Mac's jab like that but.... that was Enzo Mac. Huge difference.
This shows how intelligent Haye is more than anything. Fast, but it shows his cool and intelligence most of all.
I agree that Haye's speed is slightly overrated. But he's a lot speedier than most if not all of the top ten. Wlad has faced fast but weak punchers such as Byrd, and powerful but relatively slow punchers such as Sanders, Brewster etc. In my opinion, Wlad is very good at elminating the speed element in fighters as he did with Byrd. Wladimir has faced power punchers before, with mixed results as we all know. Wlad has learnt his lessons from his previous defeats and won't be tempted to fall into a war with Haye. If he does I seriously think the advantage will switch to Haye with his superior hand-speed and greater experience in this area of fighting. The question for me is not whether Haye's speed is overrated, I think whether it's overrated or not it still has the potential to trouble Wlad; the question is how Wlad will deal with Haye's potent mixture of speed and power.
