Not seen but few clips of him at cruiser, but at heavy against Barrett, he didn't see any need to be bothered with working behind the jab, or racking up points and trying to win rounds.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEdtB8CZSiY He's out to take your head off with one fast counter shot.........period. :good And as big and skilled as Wlad is, that style is Haye's best chance at winning with a TKO/KO, if you ask me. He'll not outboxing Wlad, nor is he holding his own in a skilled boxing match........... With Haye's Tysonlike speed and like power, he should keep his lie in wait then quickly take you out with one shot style he took Barret out with. To hell with the jab and points. His focus will be a fast crippling counter shot to Wlad's chin.
It is Monte Barrett not Wlaidmir Klitschko. If you drop your left hand, every good puncher will knock you out. Look what happend to Banks against Adamek. Wladimir learned the lesson the hard way but Steward teaches him to protect himself much better. Wlad is hard to hit. Haye will realize it from the beginning of the fight.
like I said before.. hold onto those 3 fights...hold on tight cause thats all you got....and robots:yep
Can you read? Wlad learned the lesson from this fights! Wlad today is a more complete and better fighter. If you do not see this, you know not much about boxing.
Haye's style at heavyweight is great for fighting Wlad. Wlad isn't assertive with the jab, he holds off and paws with it often. Sticking your hand out there without any purpose or bad intent, like he did against Sam Peter and Sultan Ibragimov, is perfect for someone like Haye, who is much faster and likes to counter people over the jab. I can see Wlad pawing at Haye with the jab, trying to be conservative and not to go in head-first against a fast powerful puncher, but he'll leave his left hand hanging out there too long and Haye will counter with a right hand over the top. Haye is very fast for a heavyweights, much faster than Corrie Sanders, and if he finds a home for that right hand Wlad is in trouble.
Wlad's gonna think he's surrounded when he's in there with a fighter who moves at the Speed of Light like The Hayematrix
Modern HW's in general use the "Don't get caught" method. Haye can win, just don't get caught, **** it worked for Klitschko/Lewis ect.. (Most of the time)
seriously though, based off of the first 20seconds alone, he's superior then all of Wlad's opponents, you can see lateral movement, feints, head movement, slippin jabs, and duckin punches all in the 1st 20 seconds of that video Haye's gonna knock Wlad the **** out, and it wouldn't surprise me if it happened inside 2rounds, he's gonna be lookin like JMM comapred that 7foot robot
What might come as a surprise to Haye is that he cant reach Wlad's chin. Wlad's strategy should be throwing a long jab with a back step in such a way that when the jab lands Wlad will push himself back with it. Remember how a great counterpuncher in Ibragimov fell short with all his overhand right hooks and left crosses when he tried to counter. Haye's punches will fall short as well. After a while Haye will realize that counterpunching isn't working and that he needs to come foreward with his own jab and that's when things will become interesting.
