Haye's Talk Shows He's Scared

Anybody who knows Haye will tell you he thrives on this sort of thing.
Expect to see him walk along the edge of the ring lapping up the atmosphere. If anything Waldo seems nervous to me. He was contradicting himself in that CNN interview.

Its in the human nature to let the mouth run if they are afraid! If you are truely selfconfident then there really is no reason to keep talking about it! But if you try to hide fear, then its normal to keep talking to convince others you arn`t afraid!

But fear isn`t a bad thing when it comes to boxing

 

They wouldn't be human if they both didn't have some fear, its a fight and anything can happen. I personally don't like the mouth running, but it doesn't bother me, just will make him look worse after he loses. Wlad does not have the personality to talk **** daily about his opponents, he will save his energy for the fight and settle it there. Afterwards I'm sure Haye won't be talking this crazy ****, he will have respect like he should. He's trying to **** off Wlad so he will fight out of his game, it won't work, he thinks he can lure him into a war and its just not going to happen, Wlad will be happy to pick him apart with that jab which hits like some guys straight right and lean on him and wear him out and finish him when Haye isn't dangerous anymore, just like he does all the time. He will not be sucked into a brawl.

 

There´s plenty of examples in the history of boxing that show thrash talking is the best strategy to get into your opponent´s head. If you accomplish that, you have the upper hand.

Ali talked all kinds of **** against Liston, and he won twice.
Hopkins vs Trinidad is another good example.
Mayorga vs Forrest.
Toney vs everyone.
Hamed vs everyone.
Floyd vs everyone.

 

trash talking is part of promotion. Haye is trying to sell the fight and make money.

Haye is clearly terrified. That's why he moved up a division, called him out and then gave Wlad home advantage to make the fight happen.

Haye won't even have a raised heart rate before the fight, you watch.

Haye's a natural trash talker. Not a good one, but it's what he does. I think he's scared of Wlad and Vitali but the trash talking has nothing to do with it.
