Hayes vs. Toney

If this fight ever comes off I hope you all keep shouting for Haye, to make Vegas kind to Toney...I will pick Toney regardless of the odds, however since he has only been defeated at HW by Sam Peter...he's probably the favorite anyways.

No matter, Haye will lose in embarrassing fashion to "Lights Out" Toney.:bbb

 

Toney is a fatass and is more and more out of shape for each of his fights in the last three years. After the beating Peter gave him and him barely scraping by Batchelder, I say Haye lays his ass out in less than 8 rounds. Toney is so ****ing overrated on this forum its ridiculous. The man hasnt fought a good fight since he took steroids and beat Holyfield. Since then he has steadily looked worse and worse.

 

It's a boxing match, not a beauty pageant.

Some say he went 1-1 with Peter, those feelings were so strong that a rematch was forced. Batchelder means nothing, Toney as a natural counter-puncher and defensive fighter has a tendency to fight just a notch above lesser competition when he faces them. I don't like it either, but that's the way he is. He doesn't run over chumps like Tyson did, he boxes them as if they were a top fighter. Haye would not KO Toney, he hadn't been down in over 12 years prior to Peter knocking him down for half a second when he was caught off balance (very unusual for Toney, who has great balance)...yes, his fat ass popped right back.

For this forum, you've got to be kidding. It's called respect for the only ATG active in the HW division right now. There is much worse hugging on this site. You obviously aren't speaking relatively.

I disagree, the only HW who has defeated Toney is WBC Champion Sam Peter...he has indeed "fought a good fight."

This trend has recently reversed, with Toney embracing a healthier lifestyle. You keep up on recent events...
I susupect you already know he was in a little better shape in the Rahman fight, and word on the street is that he's still moving in that directioin. Fans of Toney are finally begining to see the genesis of the rebirth of James "Lights Out" Toney.

 

Haye won't fight Toney.

Toney was furious with Haye's insistence to make a fight with Rahman and contacted ...... boxing to put the Hayemaker in check.

How many Hayes are we talking about. Cause I think Toney would beat two Hayes, maybe even three Hayes, but anymore than four Hayes would beat Toney.

 

You have a point...it would take at least TWO Hayes, to even get up the courage to see Toney in the ring.

I am not so sure about that. If Toney lands a couple hooks on the chin like he did he against Rahman, Haye is going to be laid out. Toney don't have Heavyweight Power, but he has enough to hurt eggshell chinned Haye when he lands. How old was Carl Thompson when he stopped Haye?

I dont know man but I am a fan of Toneys but he should retire. If you cant beat Rahman in a dominate manner then you know you are shot. :-(

 

You don't sound like a fan of Toney.

He was beating Rahman...and you don't get much more dominant than KO, which is what everybody watching that fight besides Haye thought would happen, before Hasim saved his own ass.

 

NO doubt Rahman saved his own ass but he cant hang with Wlad or Peter at this stage of his career. You honestly can tell me he can go back on top of the division? :huh

 

Some say he beat Peter once...He did beat Ruiz, before he was stripped of the WBA Title...it's not like we are talking about way back in his prime...he can and will achieve equal and greater things.

 

Just remember that if Haye fights Rahman. And Haye could get knocked out, Rahamn can punch if nothing else. And certainly much harder then Mock, Thompson, Mormeck. Rahman has over 40 + lbs of power then those Cruiserweights that Haye was getting rocked and hurt by.
