I don’t think this is fair. The truth is Pacquiao at this stage is only going to get cross roads type of fights against the younger guns if Mayweather does not come out of retirement . It’s not a set up it’s just boxing! He is to big to match him against novices. Haymon will have to throw him in with the likes of Spence, Mikey Garcia, Thurman, Porter or Garcia. The great Senator from Saragani Province hailing from General Santos City would want no less. All I pray for him is that he makes as much money as possible before his passion for boxing diminishes and he retires. Pacquiao is a great fighter of that there is no doubt. I say this as a Mayweather fan. As great a fighter as Pacquiao is, he is even a much greater man. This man spend a lot of his money earned on the poor and needy in his country. He genuinely fights to bring joy to the people of the Philippines. In that sense he reminds me of Felix Tito Trinidad and Azumah Nelson 2 of my personal favorites.

A guy who wants that big payday wouldn’t have been rooting for broner. He’s letting you know right there.

Apparently he tweeted he wanted to fight Spence. He has said on a few occasions he wants the winner of Garcia-Spence, and he thinks Spence will win the fight. I think he's actually marking Spence.

As the topic suggests, I think even if he beats one of the big 3(Thurman, Crawford, Spence) they will rob him unless he dominates. He's an old fighter and a fight against either of those guys would likely be his last.

Mayweather never intended to rematch Pacquiao. The real plan all along has been to job him to Thurman or Spence.

If Mayweather comes back for anyone, it’ll be another circus showdown against Khabib.

That would be serious balls of steel if he actually wants Spence. I have no doubt that he'd fight Mikey, but Spence is too big and he's too old now.

The fight didnt warrant a rematch. It wasn't close Maidana gave pbf a harder fight than pac did.

Could be worse... he could be fighting a bunch of non-boxers in farce fights. He has said he is retiring after 1 more fight.

Actually fighting non boxers for easy money is much better than fighting real boxers and taking punishment.

It didn’t. It also wouldn’t sell 4.6 million PPVs again.

Did we watch different fights? Pac took no damage, which says a lot considering his fighting style.

    Didnt Broner hurt pacs eye?

Pac was clearly beat it was one of pbfs easiest fights in years he didnt even have to get out of 1st gear. 118-110 easy work.

A scratched cornea... I mean, come on man. You could get that in a pillow fight.

I'm not disagreeing that Floyd beat Pac so I have no idea why you are bringing up something that was never mentioned. Oh I forgot how these boards work... say something perceived as negative for X fighter so you must be a fanboy of Y fighter.

You used the term "NEEDS TO RETIRE". Pac SHOULD retire, Floyd SHOULD stay retired....Roy Jones NEEDS to retire. There is a difference. It's a moot point anyway. Pac said he is one and done so you would have to think it is a Mayweather rematch. It will be sold as "Mayweather has been inactive, Pacquiao easlily beat Broner and KO'd Lucas the quitter Matthysse so Pac is BACK!" Won't do as well as the first fight but both will still make a ton of cash and everyone on here will watch it. Floyd wins again.

You’re blind if you think that. Mayweather was on his 5th gear with all that running.

Mayweather has 2 versions of style. When he takes it easy he fights like he did against Maidana 1, Castillo 1. When he gets really serious, he gets on his bike like he did against Castillo 2, maidana 2.

Against Pac he was actually fighting scared like his dad said, he ran, held, bend below the waist, anything to spoil the action. It’s basically his hack move when he knows it’s going to be a tough fight. That’s why after interviews he said it was a hard fight he made look easy. It looked a lot easier than it was because he had to fight a perfect fight.

If I recall, fmj was the only one who got hurt in the fight. Twice.

And broner hurt pacs eyes from the tape on the gloves, fouling in clinches.
