If the matchmaking is good I guess boxing on regular tv can't be bad

Fs1 is loaded with atrocious mismatch showcases

NBC will put on solid fights on a decent basis

Umm...who do you think just promoted the Mayweather-Maidana fight, complete with plenty of Al Haymon gys on the undercard???

    Leo Santa Cruz
    Floyd Mayweather
    Miguel Vasquez
    John Molina

Are all Al Haymon fighters, and GBP had no prooblem promoting a fight with them on the card.

The fact is, its going to be damn near impossible for anyone to be a promoter going forward and NOT deal with Haymon, because he has such as huge number of fighters.

This is a business, grudges dont make you money

The point I was making is that in a business guys arent going to not work with each other and make sacks of money just because they dont like each other.

Promoters are going to deal with Haymon, because he manages fighters they need to put on good cards.

But, but, but.....Haymon is not a promoter. How can an adviser take "his" fighters to another network if he is not a promoter?

You fellas not still going on a bout this from the GGG thread are ya? Christ - there should be some kind of quarantine in place to stop this s#it spilling over.

OK - you're both right, opinions vary. Traditionally Europe was considered a continent and many still consider it that way, though an increasing viewpoint is that it is part of the Asian continent since it's part of the same landmass.

Myself I categorise it as a Subcontinent (like the Indian Subcontinent) part of the same landmass but distinguished by a distinct palaeo-geographic heritage (in the case of Europe it fragmented from Laurasia somewhere between 1 and 2 billion year BCE then the Baltic shield crashed back into the Siberian plate raising the Ural mountains*, much in the way India crashing into Asia continues to raise the Himalaya).

WTF this has to do with boxing f#ck only knows - if it's about GGGs ancestry that's already been established and it should be enough that he considers himself of Kazakh nationality (ie asian).

*Edit - well it ain't that simple - Google Baltica if you actually give a damn about the raising of the Urals which actually happened much later, but the point remains.

This is either a very good business model or an extremely flawed model.Haymon pays 20 million to get his product on air.He has to line up advertisers to pay him for his commercial breaks firstly and advertisers pay on an escalating scale-the more eyeballs watching the show the more they pay, then rope on a major sponser(Tecate for instance) to pay a flat fee per show, then presumably a Casino or resort to host the fights and pay Haymon a site fee per show, then of course, selling tickets to the live sports fan.
They will require a real marketing expert and organiser(perhaps Schaefer) to co-ordinate the entire plan.
Then,to top it off,how does he pay his fighters what they were receiving when Espinoza and Showtime were being fleeced?1.4 million for a guy like Quillin-as Fra nk would say "Do me a favor"!
Ambitious but very likely to flop.I think Haymon is over playing his hand in this one.

^ Great to see a power in boxing that is not a shitty assed, garlic salami breath smelling lying ass lawyer.
Haymon is a self made Harvard degree economist.
It should be obvious that he and Schaefer have been planning this for Mayweather Promotions to begin their breakaway from GBP.
It seems the bullet train has left the station and is accelerating up to 900 mph top speed.
Question is, how will those old model steam engine trains compete when the new transport keeps adding more and clients with more and more stations?
Get ready for Mayweather Promotions to eat GBP's lunch and bury the body that was Top Rank in 2015.
