Sounds like a win-win for all parties.

Would have liked to see Garcia/Postol, however there are a couple other opponents I would deem acceptable and perhaps prefer over Postol for Garcia.

Well whilst Postol isn't a big name, he is a quality fighter to those of us who have seen his career and Garcia better have a good opponent for the voluntary.

I respect Postol... and call me crazy... but wouldn't a Garcia/Peterson unification actually be better?

 

The issue for me is not about fighting Postol, it’s about playing games by delaying mandatory defenses, fabricating a Pederson fight, then cherry picking voluntary opponents like Rod Salka. I’ll be shocked if he faces anyone in the top 20 as his "special agreement" voluntary or fights Postol.
