Haymon says Spence doesn't need Crawford

What is the exact quote from Haymon? Why doesn't Crawford fight Porter, or Thurman and get his name in the mix?

 

Haymon told Wilder the same thing regarding fighting Anthony Joshua. Said they didnt need Joshua as they could fill Wilders calendar for the next 2 years with PBC heavyweights.

 

Crawford needs to fight a live body, no doubt. It’s pathetic because he may be the most skilled overall fighter in all of boxing. No excuse for Crawford’s weak resume at WW. Sadly, I don’t think that’s going to change in the near future.

I was referring to the quote about Spence not needing Crawford. His legacy, if he comes back healthy, is tarnished if he never fights Crawford and vice versa. I’m just a fan of the sport and opposed to anything that would prevent these guys from fighting. It is the biggest fight in boxing, big enough to elevate the winner to top status in the game and elevate the sport in general.
