OP should fork over $20 to watch it since apparently he thinks cable televised boxing (which he's probably been *****ing about not having the entire 3 weeks he has followed boxing until now) is some sort of bad thing.

 

If the OP would have read anything that has been written in the last 2 days he could have answered all his questions.

It has been stated multiple times that these fighters are NOT exclusive to NBC. There is nothing binding the individual fighters to NBC. If they become a star on NBC, there is nothing preventing them from going on Showtime or PPV. Showtime has even eluded to the fact that his could help bring more viewers to their boxing shows.

And so far, they are getting the same or better paydays on NBC. So they get more exposure and better money, yet it is somehow less desirable? You need to edumacate yourself.

 

Is this post confusing to anybody else. So you think they can get to ppv by winning certain fights but they are morons for thinking they can be ppv starsatsch. So they should be striving for PPV? Or they shouldn't be (morons). Are they morons for thinking they should be on ppv yet if they win a few fights they could be on ppv? Should they be on PPV?

Nah. Ortiz got 2.5 M against Floyd and I remember Guerrero got more than him (3-5 M range; would have to look it up).

He got 1+ M to face Kamegai over the summer, though. And his high ass salary demands were the reason, supposedly, why a fight with Khan didn't happen.

He is overpaid for the Kamegai and Thurman fights, if the 2 M statement is true, in my opinions.

 

Really ? Tyson started out being Free.. Once a fighter becomes a house hold name, and a exciting fighter, fans will pay to see them.

Paul Heyman is for the fighters. Fighters are paid better after signing with him. Bob and Oscar are for the promoters. The old way of doing things. Where the promoter makes all the money and the fighters are left with s****s.

 

It appears that some posters here are mad that Al Haymon insures that his fighters get paid what they deserve. I guess they prefer fighters to be broke and in tax trouble otherwise they not real champions I guess
