It takes money to make money.

 

Because I'm sick of people acting like Haymon is this pure and virtuous guy who's doing wonders for the sport because he's such a great guy, he's a money grubbing scumbag, just like Arum and King and Oscar and many other promoters. He is associated with Floyd and that's the only reason he has nuthuggers on this site, if Arum was doing this I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be a ton of posters saying what an awesome guy he is except for the equally transparent Pacquiao fans of course

And yes I think a lot of fighters fight for the fans they want the adulation and credit, they want to prove their meddle as a man, but of course they want to be paid.

I'm happy this has happened but it doesn't mean Haymon is a great guy, he's just a manager/promoter at this point trying to make tons of money.

 

I hate most promoters so I'm an equal opportunity attacker. Money is fine I love money but the idea of basically working in the human meat market trade and making a massive profit off of the blood, guts, sweat, tears, deaths, drug abuse, sadness, emptiness, hopelessness, brain damage of men laying their life on the line, while he's smiling like a Cheshire Cat kind of makes me sick. And who will get the lion's share of the profits to be made.... Haymon of course.

If the fighters were getting a ton of money in their pockets from this deal, then maybe I would be a little more enthusiastic, and maybe they will and I'll be happy but I'll believe it when I see it.
