Haymon trying to trade fighters for Schaffer

    Over at the "Scene" the rumour is Haymon and Hoya are trying to work out a deal to release Schaffer from his contract by allowing some fighters to stay at GBP. Be interesting to see how this play's out and what it means for future matchups, who do you think Haymon is willing to sacrifice to bring Schaffer on board.

    So Haymond is trying to use Richard Schaefer as the one to run a Promotional company. I guess this confirms that in fact that was the plan as soon as Richard's contract expired. Get all the boxers over to Al, get Richard to finish his contract and....wham! A new promoter is born with boxers in almost all the weight divisions. They were really planning on bringing GBP to the ground.

    I think they thought GBP could bring TR to the ground Oscar just doesn't seem smart enough to realize how much TR needed them an not the other way around. I mean looking at it, it would seem smarter to kill TR and bring all there fighters to GB than to kill GB and lose most of your fighters just to make fights with the ten names TR has on there roster.

    You are right about GBP killing TR but that was not the only plan they had in mind IMO. Not renewing contracts and basically securing them to GBP, Richard was trying to let them go to Al while his contract ended with GBP to start a new promotion. By what is coming out, it seems that way.

    Haymon and Shaefer are some sneaky devils and this grimey a** sh** was definitely planned by Shaefer, Mayweather and Haymon. The ball is in Oscar's court and we'll see how it plays out.

    Possible but Schaffer is a promoter and Haymon is a manager just because Haymon felt it would be better to have fighters on a fight by fight contract doesn't necessarily mean that was Schaffers plan I'm not ruling it out. But if you have a chance to make GB the biggest Promo outfit in the sport why lose some of your top fighters out of spite. Looking at it its only about ten fighters worth anything on TR that's needed to make a big cross promo fight and two of them are trying to sign with Haymon in Chavez jr, M.Garcia. outside of them the only guy's worth anything I can think of are
    Rigo, Donaire, Ruslan, Pacquiao, Bradley, Loma that's all I can think of if someone can name some more I'd like to know but just based off that I'd say Oscar is stupid to ruin his company for that.
