    who oscar or Schaffer?

The question is who turned there back on who ?

I have no ill will toward Oscar but it pretty apparent the man loved ****ing under aged girls, drinking and cocaine more then his company?

So how are you suppose to be loyal to someone like that ?!

It amazes how so many people are not holding Oscar accountable for what is happening to his company.

Oscars vision was to dress up like a female boxer and have hookers sprinkle cocaine covered but plugs up his azz while he smoked crack with Shaefer running his company successfuly and with GBPs best interests at heart. That's what Oscar paid him to do. Instead the dick let his fighters sign long managereal contracts with Haymon while making no effort to secure these fighters as long time assets for GBP.

The likely motive for this was for Richard to leave GBP when his contract was up, start a new Prmo company featuring exclusivly Haymon fighters while totally cutting Oscar out.

All this after Oscar plucked Shaefer out of nowhere to be ceo of GBP. Its all just a big shady dick move imo

I'm pretty sure all this alleged trading of contracts between promoters and managers would be highly illegal.

You have a good point. Oscar is resposible for being asleep at the wheel. Or coked up at the wheel. He should've known he was swimming with sharks. We totally agree there. All I'm pointing out is that Haymon and Shaefer are indeed sharks:good

Schaeffer breached his fiduciary duty as an officer of Golden Boy by not signing those fighters to GBP contracts, then resigning to promote those same fighters under a different banner.

That's a shady move at the corporate level any way you put it, and Oscar could take him to court if he really wanted things to get ugly. If I'm Oscar, I say F the trade, and make Schaeffer sit on the sidelines.

Schaefer leaving and a the biggest name of all in Mayweather dropping GB straight after will see a lot of fighters signed to GB think twice about there next step.

Great sum up. Oscars crack problem is as irrelevent here as his cross dressing in this dispute. Sheafer breached:deal

My point exactly ! How long did he think he was going to have loyalty, in the direction he was headed?

Oscar personal life was making GBP a joke ! We all knew this was coming so it should be no surprise.!!

Floyd himself said Oscar is running nothing, Schaffer was, which is why Floyd lost respect for Oscar as a business partner.

When your competing against (Arum) one of the most business savvy person in the business, mistake like this will bury you..
This had to be on the mind of every employee under oscar ..
com'on Oscar and shane where friend, but you have to ask why did shane jump ship?

I said this is what schaefer was doing soon as I heard that most of those gbp fighters had no contract and being so aligned with one specific manager makes it worse. Expect lawsuits. Indictments maybe. These 2 guys are huge conspirators who have loopholed the crap out of the Ali act and and any other law in their way. Boxing wasn't ready for corporate crooks like these guys. A blue collar sport ran by boneheads and thugs for decades wasn't ready for over educated white collar corporate guys like these. But they might have dug to deep of a hole and to out in the open. They tried to crush the two promotional powerhouses to build their own and one from the inside out. And they may still do it!!!! And what's worse??? Most of the ******s on these forums think they are great! Best things to ever happen to boxing. Fighters will have no control if they pull this off. They will be pawns. More so than ever before. When your manager is the same entity as your promoter...please tell me how that's good??? When it's the managers job to protect one from the other! Rich white collar big business men with total control over the careers of a bunch of uneducated third world/minority/blue collar guys who, god bless them, chose to fist fight for a living. Hmmmmm

Not that it wasn't already a crooked sport but this is not a move in the right direction

    :happy

An example of this in another industry is real estate. It's against the law to have the broker be both a broker and the appraiser. This curries huge conflict of interest obviously. Just like in boxing, you cannot have a manager who is supposed to look out for the boxers financials whom is the same entity as the promoter. And what Schaefer and Haymon are conspiring to do is to collude to control both aspects.

You're preaching to the choir on this one.

To borrow a term from Enron, Schaeffer and Haymon were the two smartest guys in the room. They just weren't content with being very powerful and financially successful though, and it's their hubris and arrogance that will bring them down. They're about as slick and covert at hiding this as the guy who brags at the bar about getting away with killing his wife after a few shots.

Boxing has nothing but itself to blame for having infrastructure so poor that two guys could come in and alter the sport like this in the matter of a few years, but as always, it's the fighters who will pay the consequences first- and hardest.

Oscar should call the FBI's WCC. They would have a field day with Schaefer and Haymon.
