I really want Charlo to win but I could see Hurd beating him in the 2nd half.

Hurd takes too many good shots. Even the most iron chins get dented if hit too often. If Hurd wants to have longevity he has got to tighten up his defense. But what he lacks in defensive skills and speed he makes up in size and toughness. Hurd is a tough out for anyone.

Hurd likes to work, Jermell does not.
I think Hurd is a bit underrated.
    I am leaning on Hurd.

Very good fight. Hard to pick a winner. I would enjoy seeing Hurd systematically break Charlo down like a freight train with an unlimited supply of coal.

I really like Hurd but he fights with his face too much and that's not cool or good boxing. I like his offense but his defense sucks and it looks like he is not trying to improve. A fighter can only take so much pounding in the face before he cracks or triggers a life ending condition. Lara beat his face, Harrison beat his face, Trout beat his face and now Charlo who is by far the hardest hitter of them all with good size and precision punches. I think that if Hurd hasn't improved his defense, Charlo will keep him honest with his power and quite possibly stop him.

Favor Charlo for sure. Would love to see this happen next. Winner does become fairly legitimately big time.

Neither can I, hopefully it'll be within the next 6 months, so I can laugh heartily as both of your man crushes get demolished in the same year.:number_one:

Styles make fights. You Charlo haters are already setting yourselves up for failure just because you idiotically believe Trout somehow was robbed by both brothers (of course this is the only place where I see this narrative being mentioned. Everyone, even Trout himself knows he lost last night but hey).

You need to consider the facts. Trout is more savy than Hurd and he’s been against better comp. The Charlo’s are still a work in progress and are getting better every fight. Hurd’s style will make Charlo’s style more effective. Plus that damage he’s been taken against Trout and Lara is going to take some effect.

You can’t be Rocky Balboa unless you’re taking PEDs. He will get KO’ed or beat more convincingly than Trout did who was legitimately knocked down once. That first knocked down was still text book a legitimate knock down as well but the punches that did land before he was tripped then hit with the left hook hurt Trout and put him in that scenario to begin with.

You guys spend too much time attacking fighters and get lost in your own bs.

I like Hurd but he can’t play block with his face for too much longer.

i like hurd, seems like a real person, but charlo is a bad match for him. charlo reminds me a little of julian jackson, without the coma inducing power. he moves in the same way the hawk did, both looking to create max leverage on every shot so they are always well balanced and take very deliberate steps when moving. neither sets up shots, but prefer to just explode on openings they see, putting all their shoulders into the punches.
if you want to improve leverage and punching technique in your boxing, go see derrick james... thats the guy ryan garcia desperately needs.

Young Christopher might have lost but you are delusional if you think he was demolished and it most certainly wasn't him who was holding on for dear life in the 12th round.

Think I am getting sick of giving Groves his props. He was only nicking rounds by the smallest margins and mostly because he was allowed to hold the whole night.

Jr fought like **** but he wasn't far away from winning, he just needed to land a few extra punches in 3 rounds and he could have easily nicked it.

Hurd is just a monster for the weight, he doesn't have any competition. Not a Lil Charlotte sister who gets his thrills sparring welterweights. Lara was the hardest fight for him in the division.

Charlo might be just as chinny as him too
