It was awful. There was an interesting story to tell about how both had domineering fathers, but they didn't really do it justice. Roy's early years were horrifying with that tyrant of a dad. Joe's 20s were pretty terrible too.
i mlove cotto but it never looks to me like he trains with enough intensity. on the pads it is always thrown at 60%. where are the sprints, the hill runs etc. this is where he l;acks and his stamina is poor late as a result
He suffered with depression, was breaking his hands nearly every fight, had serious fall outs with his father, wasn't enjoying life with his wife... He had a pretty **** time.
I think he limits what he does for the cameras, hence the slow laced pads and whatnot. Never gets re-weighed before a fight either, which would also lend to the claim he keeps his cards close to his chest.
I'm sure it's in his book, but I also heard it from a friend of a friend who slept with him around the Manfredo fight. She was the first person I heard i from about his white powder habit.
Castillo, Corrales and Hatton, while all good wins, are not great fighters Marquez was terribly out of shape De la Hoya was beating him before he gassed Mosley was incredibly old, and was borderline shot
He approached conditioning completely different for Pacquiao. Also, styles make fights. Also, Pac came in at the contractually agreed weight.
