HBO all action SHO all flash?

Why is it always a competition with you guys? Just enjoy the ****ing fights.

 

Because they're successful businessmen and not the average random virtual uneducated simpleton. Making Pacquiao-Mayweather and Gamboa-Broner might make a lot of money overnight, but overtime it's terrible. Why make two mega-events and end it there when they could milk these guys fighting easier pickings for years?

I don't even like rios or Alvarado and I made it a point to watch the fight. That's what fans of the sport do

 

I admit HBO has had the better fights this year Ruslan-Bradley,Mike-Alvarado.How long will it last though? Sho had to cancel cards because of injuries & GB just completely crossed over.Show next couple of bouts from now to june 8; Trout-Alvarez,Garcia-Judah,Floyd-guerrero,Matthysse-Peterson FOTY potential,Maidana-Lopez potential FOTY.The Sho ass kicking hasn't even started.HBO does have Rigo-Donaire,Martinez-Murray,Arreola-bermane,froch-kessler until may 25th which are all solid but better overall?.................:think doubt it.Maybe feud will bring the best out of the promoters/networks to put on the best possible fights.We did get Sergio-Jr now Rigo-donaire trout-alvarez,Matthysse-Petrson fights we usually wouldnt have.Props to those willing to fight the best though while others cherry pick their way to the top.

I don't favor either though,just want the best fights from both networks.

 

Showtime is garbage

 

Showtime kicked HBO's ass all year long last year IMO, until HBO scored a few big hits toward the end (i.e: Berto-Guerrero, Pacquio-Marquez). Now it seems the shoe is on the other foot so far this year, although the year has only just begun.

But I agree with BENNY's post - regardless of who is "winning" between HBO and Showtime, it's us fans who will lose out in the long run, because it will make joint-promotional fights even more difficult to make (i.e: Donaire-Mares, Matthyse-Rios/Alvarado).

In all honesty watching Showtime is much more enjoyable without having to hear the likes of BAM BAM Lampley, Max Kellerman and Roy Jones jabber on about ****

I can't stand Arum, but we have gotten some good matches from Top Rank on HBO recently. Can't hate on that.

 

They realize Arum just doesn't care he legit passed on DLH vs Mayweather and Pacquiao-Mayweather, he is super wealthy and an *******, till he dies we won't get ****, I'm not saying GB is perfect but they let Lara fight on a TR card when TR won the purse bid, they enjoy money and this is prize fighting.

 

i have both hbo and showtime and showtime would have good fights once in a while but on average, hbo's natchups/fights (since hershman) are better and has more relevance.

 

I have hbo and showtime for more than just boxing. They have some good shows

 

competition is good.

 

More like the opposite. In the past showtime has more actioned packed fights. More hungry fighters but after the whole WWE bs who knows.
