Khan ain't that guy. He's a huge star here in the UK, yes, but the American market is much harder to penetrate. Khan's done well to be as popular as he currently is over there, but being a superstar like Mayweather or Pac is out of his reach. He's a foreigner, and he's nowhere near gifted or devestating enough to do what someone like Pac has done. Very few people are.

One major problem, you contradict yourself.

HBO and GBP want Khan to replace Mayweather, then you go on to say Mayweather-Khan is 90% done deal.

Yet, Mayweather beats Khan...that's the flaw in your theory.

If HBO and GBP (especially) want Khan to replace Mayweather, they wouldn't put him anywhere near the ring whilst Mayweather is there if that was the case.

Muslims overall are not into boxing,or even sports as Westerners and Europeans for that matter.. He could be an international star but he still needs to grow and build his resume..

Ok at least someone caught that.. This idea of Oscar praying Floyd leaves to hedge their bets on Khan, doesn't do them good business wise..

I personally don't think Floyd has too many fights left in him, Manny fight won't happen, who Floyd got?? Alvarez is still too young and Floyd not going to wait around for him.

Don't think Floyd is that type of fighter who will stick around if he is not as effective in the ring as before, there were little signs vs Cotto this is starting to happen already.

Khan style wise will cause problems for Floyd due to his speed and youth, what will Floyd be like in another year vs a fast young hungry fighter like Khan, anything is possible in boxing, Floyd is human and does age.

I think he has one or two more. Alvarez probably won't be one, and unless Pacquiao leaves Top Rank, nor will he. Cotto rematch could happen due to the money they made.

I'd agree with that, we won't see Mayweather go on past his time like a Mosley or a Jones...his ego won't allow it.

Anything is possible in boxing, but Khan simply isn't ready. You may think Khan has the style to cause Mayweather problems, but his flaws simply stop this from being a factor. Every time these two boxers are mentioned, the only advantage you can give that Khan has over Mayweather is speed. And the only reason you keep repeating this is because you believe speed is the be all and end all. Which it is not.

Mayweather's timing, and now even more evidence (after the Peterson bout) of Khan not being able to fight on the back foot and cope with pressure, never mind intelligent pressure makes this more of a mismatch than it was previously. Watch Garcia this Saturday, I'm going to take a wild guess that he will try to pressure Khan and get him on the back foot as soon as possible. He won't be able to because he isn't good enough, and he won't actually be able to cope with the speed and movement of Khan...but he will try it. Watch all of Khan's future opponents pressure him, even if they aren't out and out pressure fighters. Mayweather would do the same thing, just better.

I think these near 5 months in camp should of improved Khan in this area.

These are a few simple factors why pressure was so effective vs Khan.

    1. Lack of power, gaining the full respect of opponent and stopping them marching forward wildly is a concern, they have been working to increase Khan's power in this camp. See results on sat night.

    2. Gasing and laying on ropes, Khan says he will not repeat this mistake, see results on sat night.

    3. No inside effective punching, no uppercuts or ruff tactics, or tie up so opponent can't throw, again see results sat night.

Khan and Roach know if Khan can handle pressure better and more effectively then Khan becomes really hard to beat by any fighter.

I am looking to see these improvements in Khan vs Garcia and future opponents.

Khan would get KOed by both Alvarez and Mayweather. Mayweather would ice Khan faster than he did Ortiz.

    Khan's losing this weekend though.

And Alvarez is far too immature to be making such statements.
