the domestic fights will or should find a home wether sky pick up henny and hayemaker or channel 5 find some resources or we get something for our tv tax, but lets face it the biggest problem for us with setanta gone, is losing the overseas fights, fighters like juanma lopez, bradley, campbell, diaz, donaire, darchinyan etc and a whole host of good undercards with prospects like korobov and jacobs

so, why don't HBO and showtime set up a streaming sub service for the UK fans, they could make a killing

I've often wondered this; I would subscribe to both in no time if I could get my mitts on them. You never know, with ESPN now setting up in the UK we may see some sort of agreement/ contract with them similar to the Setanta-Top Rank set up. I know it's different getting rights from another TV station as opposed to a promotional company like with Top Rank but I feel that if anyone can pull it off, ESPN can. As for now, it's more dodgy streams for me.

I think that is the promoter that generally own the international fights. It would be intresting to see if Top Rank try and set something up.

But lets take for example, the Marquez vs Diaz fight, which was picked up very last minute. If Goldenboy had a stream site set up they would have to advertise those fights and do all the prep work, and then might end up selling the fight on anyway.

It is probably more financially viable to sell 1/5 fights to Sky or Setanta than to show all 5 on a stream site.

Like I said, It is probably more financially viable to sell 1/5 fights to Sky than to show all 5 on a stream site.

UFC and WWE have both tried internet streaming. WWE have long since dumped the idea and while I think UFC are still doing it through Yahoo, they don't make any significant money. I just don't think it's viable.

Because allot of the fights our only picked up at the last minute. If that happends top rank will have spent allot of money advertising and setting up the stream, which would go to waste, and they would end up making a loss.

these guys are smart, if it made money they would be doing it already.

Does anyone no the streaming numbers for Froch?

I would suspect we'll never know the numbers because they weren't anything to brag about
