Kovalev is clearly bigger - no question this is a LHW vs a SMW.

Kov will eat those punches like finger sandwiches. There will be lots of hugging from Ward, but Kov is not easy to hold. Ward will be dropped early...within the first 3-4 rounds.

Disappointing that both Ward and Kovalev looked so unimpressive.

Doesn't exactly hype up their upcoming match.

Ward has never had power though. I can't let this affect my opinion of him too much.

 

To be fair Chilemba is a way tougher opponent than Brand and I highly doubt Kovalev was 100% motivated for the task..... He will be for Ward.

 

I will say one thing, Ward had to chase tonight, I don't think he'll have to chase Kovalev, meaning Ward should be able to do what he does best and counter punch.

But I agree with you, looking at his power tonight, that isn't going to stop the charge of Kovalev.

I see it looking very similar to Kovalev Vs Hopkins but Kovalev getting the stoppage.

Yeah Chilemba is better than Brand, but a younger Brand IMO could have given him a run for his money. Might have beaten CHilemba.

That being said, it'll be a great fight.

This fight was boring as **** though. TBH ofc.

Severe lack of right hands, it was just jabs to the body with Brand circling around the ring backing off.
