I heard him along time ago but forgot how he is.

    Is he that Bad?

Ive heard Mcguigan he is pretty good but a little to nice to the fighters sometimes, like he dont want to hurt no bodys feelings.

They also pulled that crap with a couple of Chavez fights. Especially the one with Taylor, yeah Chavez was definitely losing that fight but they completly ignored the shots Chavez landed and Marveled at everything Taylor threw.

I didn't watch the HBO feed, was it's seriously biased?

I had Pac winning 117-111, and to be honest, there were 1-2 rounds Clottey caught Pac with some flush right hands and uppercuts while Pac was unleashing on the wall totally ineffective. Had Clottey followed up with the straight right and used the uppercut earlier, it'd had been closer. Nontheless, Pac fought the right fight, you gotta outwork Josh and keep him on the defensive, and Manny executed it beautifully, great job. But it was no shutout. Is that what HBO referred to?

Yeah... I dont mind **** commentating if its entertaining ( like Foreman ) but Watt just talks out of his ass and would make Gatti - Ward sound boring.

Mcguigan used to work for a different channel, he's a pretty decent commentator. People ***** about HBO but they don't know how lucky they are  then again we did get this fight for free...

Yeah, they were definitely leading the Pac parade, tooting his horn. I love the part when Steward got defensive when the other two were bullying him. He should've knocked them both out. Would've been far more interesting than the actual fight.

For ****'s sakes, that BANG BANG BANG **** by Lampley was pathetic.

I had to endure Jim Watt, but now I am thinking maybe that was the lesser ordeal.

I agree, it was terrible, unprofessional even...

It was wierd, Lampley seemed pissed off, for some reason. Which showed when he and Max started picking on Emmanuel, because he dared to say Clottey was landing the cleaner punches. Then out of nowhere he started to yell "BANG" everytime Manny threw a punch (Clottey blocked most), but you could hear the anger in his voice, I mean I was cringing.

On top of that Max had some wierd random quotes like, "Manny is like... The Chappelle Show", but I can live that.

The HBO team has always had a habit of focusing on the negative points, last night it was just over the top, I'm trying to enjoy myself ffs...

HBO crew always calls shots that don't land or are blocked for the favorite and ignores counters. Lampley always acts like a spaz when a shitty combo is thrown.

They want to make it exciting partly and they compete with each other as presenters to try to say memorable exciting things. If they are getting excited over what a fighter is doing and commit to a statement, a lot of the time they don't want to suddenly say, "what I just said is wrong or exaggerated because the other guy just countered him," or, "yeah I said BANG BANG BANG for a combo that only hit gloves." They want to make it exciting and also hear themselves talk.

Boxing is unpredictable and they try to say entertaining things and sound like experts, so sometimes they make hasty statements and are proven wrong as they are saying it. Constantly talking about one guy "setting the pace" and "dominating the action" or "landing hard shots" etc etc and as they are saying it their guy is getting lit up but they ignore it because it would ruin their statements.

You should have been present to hear the masterpiece that the British commentary team put on, at a few points late on suggesting the fight should be stopped. Give me a break.

"Watch this combination on the replay". Then they show it and it's 4-5 shots Manny throws with so-so technique, zero care, that all hit Clottey's gloves. Not impressed, not at all. I'm flabbergasted to see that the vast majority of the forum are disgraced by Joshua going 12 rounds, and busting Manny's face up with uppercuts and right hands.

....I only just watched that video...and I'm speechless. Lampley has lost it...he's finally lost his mind.
