How is Juanma disappointing? He's the best in the division knocking out everybody and now fighting Rafa Marquez.

    He wasn't a teenager???

He was born in November 1980. His last knockout loss was in March 2000 - when he was nineteen. That was ten and a half years ago. Of his others - one came when he was fifteen, two when he was sixteen, and one when he was seventeen.

Gamboa really doesn't have that much one-punch power at featherweight; his game is speed and accumulation. For instance, it wasn't one particular punch that did in the solid-chinned Mtagwa - he just overwhelmed him with lots of fast punches that he didn't see. Salido was able to avoid this same fate by making a dog fight out of it, and honestly you could argue that Salido has an even better chin than Mtagwa despite suffering five knockout losses AS A TEENAGER.

Problem with gamboa is he is short. And with Lopez utlizing spacing as well as his significant reach and heaight adv.Gamboa will have problem getting in the kill zone he'll be reaching and Lopez demonstates how to time him and take him out. When he comes in. As they say it's CURTAINS when senior juan manuel lopez lands that sledge hammer on Gamboa.

Are you serious? David Lopez? lol. So you agree that Lopez deserves a title shot? lol. Sure he's been on a winning streak in 5 years but it was against bum fighters after bum fighters lol. His last 2 fights, he fought 2 fighters with the total together of 13 losses in which one by 6 losses and the other by 7 losses. If Lopez finally face a fighter with a purse, he'll get beat badly guarantee.

Man. :patsch He's not even good at reading Boxrec. He seriously just claimed Salido wasn't a teenager when he was getting knocked out.

His professional knockout losses came at age FIFTEEN, SIXTEEN, SIXTEEN AGAIN, SEVENTEEN, AND NINETEEN - all in the first fifteen bouts of what's now a 47-fight long campaign!

How the **** was he not a teenager?????

Hell, Pacquiao can only use the teenager excuse for ONE of his early KO losses. He was 17 when Torrecampo stopped him, but was already 20 when Singsurat did. All of Salido's KO losses came before his twentieth birthday. :deal

He has also certainly faced some punchers. Alejandro Gonzalez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Robert Guerrero at featherweight - all big hitters, over whom I wouldn't say Gamboa has much power.

No, sucker. Not "19 cool". Stop trying to downplay just how bad you owned yourself. FOUR of his five knockout losses came before he even turned 18.

Yea i was wrong. it was 10 years ago in which he was 19 but so what? Why we ever argue about Salido d-level fighter? He may have a good solid chin but that's about it.
