    Rodriguez isn't too impressive. He's got some firepower and he's offensive-minded but he telegraphs and loops the **** out of his right hand, especially when he throws it to the body. He's fairly open and times and works like a car in different gears. He's in offense mode or defense mode, never fluidly mixing both enough. He has potential though. A real big SMW. I wonder with his structure if he can take a punch.

    Escalara, what can be said. He is game as hell but totally out of his depth. Inexperienced and defensively lost. He doesn't tuck his arms from the body shots and just doesn't defend himself well at all when he has to. He's tough as hell and can really take some punishment. If I were him I'd look for the left hook counter over the right. Not much he can do though but swing for the fences and try to make something happen on the inside. Doesn't seem like the brightest guy in terms of Ring IQ but damn tough.

    Rodriguez is slamming Escalera around the ring with straight one-twos. Escalera manages to get out a single bomb in the first half minute, slowing Rodriguez but not halting him. One solid punch, against about a dozen. Finally Escalera takes his chief second's advice and holds. BIG left hook, right hand by Rodriguez lunging in. Clinch. Escalera spins him to the ropes. High jab by Rodriguez, with Escalera trying to worm his own jab in underneath, to the armpit. Clinch. Escalera tries to smother Rodriguez against the ropes. Rodriguez flings a big overhand right past Escalera's weak jab, resting his chin on Escalera's glove while winding it around. Escalera diligently clinches whenever he can. 1-2 by Rodriguez, missing a third follow-up shot. Left hook by Rodriguez, slapping Escalera back a step. Rodriguez seems to be holding back, saving energy. Single jab, and circling. 1-2-3 to the face by Rodriguez. Another straight combo, pushing Escalera in the corner and hurting him but running out of time as the bell rings.

    Edwin lands hard right again. Escalere fighting back and landing body work of his own. left and right from Edwin again. Two right to the body from Edwin. Lead left from Edwin overhand right from Edwin. Wide left from Edwin again. Edwin tees off at the end of the round and Escalera gallantly fights back but he is clearly outmatched.
