Then you should know how good Mchunu is, I ranked him pretty highly even though I picked Makabu to beat him (because I ranked Makabu even higher), the dude is skilled as hell, who even though he's a midget has beaten a few HW's handily and Usyk after 2 feel out rounds pretty much dominated and dismantled him with relative ease. It was his American debut on HBO against a highly ranked tricky defensively gifted slick counter punching southpaw, therefore he didn't have his natural southpaw advantage, all things considered he looked amazing. Give the man some credit.

It was almost unbearable. Who ever was on the show with Bunce had Hopkins up by 5-2 after the 7th. Nearly as bad as Jim Watts.

Guys like Usyk have to show me that they are the goods. I'm not
I'm sorry C, it usually hits me right away. I just don't view this batch of CWs as good.

The very weaknesses that you see from Gvozdyk and Usyk are the same, although to a lesser extent, with Lomachenko. Lomachenko DOES have these weaknesses, too. However, he manages it better. Take a look at Lomachenko's earliest rounds against Gamalier Rodriguez.

What I hate is that they don't study tape properly. They wouldn't need to spend as many rounds probing and measuring, potentially losing them in order to figure their guy out.

Just watched this fight this morning ( uk crew)

Dayummm what a way to go out tho, Both in terms of out the ropes and out of your career, didn't expect bhop to make excuses was hard to watch one of your hero's look like an old man, This is why i like to see fighters go out on top or the moment they realize they can no longer compete at world level.

Floyd got out at the perfect time, He could still mostly likely beat anybody in the division but he knew he wasn't quite the same. Once you get that feeling its the perfect time to call it a day. I would hate to see floyd come back and get whooped by somebody he would have schooled in his prime. Floyd haters want to see this though lol

So let me get this straight...

Fonfara and Haymon cherry pick a largely unknown commodity as a showcase fight for Andrzej, thinking, "Hey I took Stevenson's shot, this kid can't hurt me:lol:"

    He gets KTFO.

So Bernard, Oscar and Dan Rafael have the brilliant idea of...

"Hey let's cherry pick that unknown commodity that just KTFO of Fonfara, he's easy pickings, you took Kovalev's power, he can't hurt you, you'll school him easily"

He gets KTFO too... KTF right out of the ****ing ring.

Didn't they at least entertain the idea that this might happen?:calimero1::copas::buitre:

This might be the first time a back to back cherry pick of the same guy goes horribly wrong twice in the same year.:risas3:

    Mauricio Herrera.

Unofficially beat (and despite officially copping the L, took a clear event victory with his own stock launching into the stratosphere while sending a shockwave of embarrassment into Danny's the repercussions of which are still being felt) Garcia, and upset Johan Perez all in 2014.

Hopkins probably wanted it to end as a Non-Contest like the first Dawson fight and then call it a day..by claiming he did his ankle in.
Hopkins was leaning against the ropes way too hard when he got hit with the combination. He was kinda off balance because of how much he was leaning. If he wasn't leaning so poorly like that, he probably wouldn't have gone down.

I was thinking earlier he should have gunned for a Dawson rematch, then Roy Jones, and completed a Roy Jones trilogy and then retired.

Right you are! Thrice cherry-picked. Give him those decisions and he would've been a lock for 2014 F'erOTY.
