meh it sucks Saunders won tonight since it ruined Lemieux career I think. but... he went to canada, in front of a massive crowd for lemieux the judging WAS relaxed for lemeiux. Saunders to me didn't look very impressive in 4 of his last 5. he looked really bad vs some dude in Scotland. Lemieux hate him or not was a legit top middleweight and Saunders humilated him. AND saunders has a cold because it's -5C in quebec.

Ive seen quite a few Saunders interviews.... and he has said it multiple times, and none of them seemed tongue in cheek, but thats just my perspective.

No son, cleary not the case.

When a fighter gets KD and then stopped, it's clearly not as close as letting the opponent go the distance.

no man. Nothing Lemieux landed on GGG did anything to GGG, not even a flinch. So how can you beat someone who is winning every single round, and who is making you take a knee, forces your corner to throw in the towel, and you weren't even able to make him flinch? At least Lemieux was able to force Saunders to be overly defensive and arguably lose a couple of rounds on inactivity, as you saw on the judge's scorecards. Lemieux didn't win a single round on any of the three cards against GGG.

right and the reason why im saying that Lemieux was a better win for GGG than you claim is that it is ALSO a great victory for Saunders.
I think this defines Saunders career for the time being, he went to Canada caught a cold and landed over 100 more punches and the harder punches to the hometown hero. I dont care for saunders but he deserves a lot more credit than people are giving him.

I respect your response. And I agree with it, though you may find that not possible. (except that nobody other than your odd Puerto Rican forum goer scored Canelo/Cotto to Cotto or even, unless you could point me in a different direction?)

idk, i remember golovkin standing there and beating lemieux senseless at his own game. i guess if saunders shows up in top form, he could give the top two a match.

yes it goes down on boxrec and the record book as a KO. Lemieux was far more hurt vs saunders. GGG just has a repuation so it was so one sided that the ref called an end to the fight. Lemieux wasn't badly hurt at the time of the stoppage, he was more badly hurt when he was put down by a body shot and ate a massive shot.

Christ man, you know what I mean. Up until the stoppage, and no ****..... that's because GGG has more power, had Saunders pressed for the KO he could have gotten it as well, but he's not as brave as GGG.

    A) He didn't "force" Saunders to be defensive, that's his style.

    B) Lemieux didn't "arguably win a couple of rounds".

I dunno, same way an official judge found an even round for Christian Hammer against Alexander Povetkin and another judge gave him two.
